But....Garde has asked fans to stick with the team. Can't kick this guy while he's doing his best in very difficult circumstances. It breaks my heart what's happening to our club. But until all hope is lost, I will stay to support them. I was a child of the revolution in 68. Have to say, even then, we had more reason for optimism than now. End of the season is a different story, I'll be there on the barricades with everyone else. I genuinely have a lot of time for posts like this mate. I can sense it is heartfelt. As someone backing this campaign and trying to sell it to others I'd say don't see these walkouts as not backing the manager or the team. It has been made perfectly clear that isn't what these walkouts are about, quite the opposite. These walkouts are about no longer making the managers scapegoats, no longer allowing the board to hide behind managers by sacking them and whilst not saying it is all the managers fault by the very act of sacking them it obviously implies it and turns the attention away from the board. That time has passed now. No longer should we blame managers because quite frankly despite them all having made mistakes over the last 5 seasons of dire struggle firstly they were put in that position by the owner/board and perhaps simply weren't up to the task and secondly they were asked to improve results whilst cutting costs. Guardiola would have struggled. With regards to Remi saying stick with the the team he has to say that doesn't he. I think it was for more telling him saying he had sympathy with the supporters and that the issues at this club have been there for years and he is right of course as despite numerous changes in manager and in playing staff the issues remain. The one constant being the owner and the fact the club has continued with a policy of cost cutting and buying quantity over proven quality hoping to get lucky. If I believed that me walking out on 74 minutes would have a detrimental effect on this club going forwards I wouldn't do it. This is about way more than one result, this is about a bigger picture of trying to influence the clubs future and force a change in direction. If that isn't enough though I'd consider this. Supporters have stuck with the team all season. Mine, yours and others presence for the last 16 minutes of the previous home games this season has yielded 2 wins. I think it is safe to say that regardless of us and others being there or not for the last 16 minutes it won't see a downturn in results or performances as they are pretty much at rock bottom. I'd urge you an others to come and join the rest of us that don't want to boycott games and stay away but still want to make a stand and say to the owner and board enough is enough. This wilful neglect, mismanagement and lack of any kind of positive forward thinking in relation to this great club I love has to stop. By walking out I am calling on you to change direction and provide the bright future we the supporters were promised and deserve. The fight to secure a decent future for this club has to start now. This could just be a load of averages for modern day football and be part of a completely different campaign

ismail-villa
I feel bad for not joining in with the walkout because it's mine and my mates first time going to a match in this season together and we wanna watch the whole match, woops. I can't get to games, so if I was visiting on a one off I'd find it hard to do. I hope those that do leave are clapped by fellow supporters who want to stay and watch, instead of deriding them. Regardless of how people wish to express their dissatisfaction - protest or stay and support Remi and players, we should all respect each other's decision and be united against the hierarchy. That would be a powerful image for the cameras, I think.
a m ole
^^ Maybe something for any promo material you guys are preparing? simply ask fans who refuse to leave to stand and applaud those that do? I appreciate it might be a little late at this stage.

foreveryoung
I'm shocked the board haven't come out with some bullshit statement to try stop the protest. Proves really they don't give a shit about us fans, an have just been brought in to balance the books
NoelVilla
Watching that team picked today and having a feeling 40 minutes before kick-off that I don't think I want to watch the game. Lerner has to go. I salute everyone working and joining in with this.

dont_do_it_doug.
Let me just make this point loud and clear - To my knowledge there isn't a SINGLE PERSON who supports this movement who was happy with yet another abject performance and a heartbreaking defeat today. **** gutted. **** you Randy Lerner, you shit bag.
Harry
I had vowed to stop going. I have missed the last two home games, Norwich because I was away and I could not be arsed with Liverpool game. Funnily enough I think I will go to the Everton game just so I can walk out on 74 minutes. Without wanting to fall out with those who have set this up and for whom I have the utmost respect I don't really see what its going to achieve unless we get thousands leaving but I applaud the 'mission statement' that has been created. Sadly the club is rotten to the core and something however small and token it might end up being must be done. So you can count me and who ever I take with me in. sne
Today's performance certainly won't have hindered the cause. This protest is the only reason why I will watch the game.
Butterfingers
In a perverse sort of way, todays performance would have been ideal for Tuesday night. 2-0 down on 74 minutes will see far more walking out as opposed to us hanging on to a one goal lead. Whilst there is a hard core who will be walking out, regardless of the score, my feeling is that there will be a greater number who will be persuaded by whatever the scoreline is on 74 minutes. I think those that choose to stay should indeed stand up & applaud those who leave-Its a fantastic idea and shows unity. (lets face it, the majority now want this motley crew of bankers and merchandise salesmen gone) One other thought I have is that the concourses will be very lively. I envisage loud noise coming from them that will be heard on the pitch-This could be put to positive use. I wonder if any from the hospitality areas will join in?
