Genie
Anyone thinking of buying something from buyagift.com can use voucher code Happiness25 for 25% off. I just used it to get the OH a Spa day for 2 people at Bannatynes with 2 treatments for £42 total.

He's like the forum Santa crossed with Grinch. Honestly though, waking up with my partner and properly proposing with a ring (we are engaged, but it was just a mutual agreement.) Then heading to my mums, then her mums, then home. I've not asked for any presents this year, I have everything I want. I've done a £100 shop for the local foodbank though. Just want to help others this year.

I got a taxi home from work the other day and I asked the driver if he was looking forward to Christmas. He said that he was and that his whole family meet up - "just like you" - each year to drink and smoke and have a laugh etc. He said that although he is a Muslim, they still like to keep with British tradition in his family because they were born here. I said "I thought Muslims didn't drink" and he replied "The good ones don't". True story!

Our main (big company) do was last Friday, but we've a smaller one (just the programmers) this Thursday, primarily because one of them doesn't want it impacting on his weekend. At least we're making it an afternoon jobby though, so out of here at 12ish
snowychap
Not sure about that Salvation Army advert asking people to give 'just £19' this christmas. That wouldn't even buy them a mouthpiece for a tuba.

CarewsEyebrowDesigner
It doesn't feel like Christmas until I have the Radio Times. Correction: It doesn't feel like Christmas until the cover of the Radio Times Christmas edition has ripped off.
mjmooney Posted December 9, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted December 9, 2015 Not sure I approve of the Sherlock Crimbo special being set in the 19th Century. It does kind of take away the USP of the Cumberbatch version.
mjmooney Posted December 9, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted December 9, 2015 TV sorted... I would probably watch BBC4 exclusively, were it not for the missus.
