Popular Post Isa
If Collymore supported any other team, he'd be viewed as a joke figure by everyone on here without exception. He is a gobshite who doesn't hold a consistant position on any issue and is incapable of engaging in a coherent debate.
Popular Post markavfc40
Collymore may be wrong on some of the intricacies but his overall message is bang on. It is incompetence of the highest order that has led to Aston Villa, for the last handful of years, striving to do nothing more than survive in the top flight. The owner is ultimately responsible for that and he should be hanging his head in shame.
Arj Guy
So apparently Lerner decided to pick Richardson over Amavi on Saturday. Ok Stan
MikeMcKenna Posted October 26, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted October 26, 2015 I can understand why people don't like Stan, but you can't knock his passion for the club, something that our current board lack...Exactly I dont understand why you can tell by his tone of voice he cares and is passionate. So annoying when fans slate him and others ex villians like yorkeReally? As I have said on another post, Collymore was absolutely shite for us and far from passionate as a player. Are you aware of what he was like when he played for us?

The fact he never showed his true ability for us was one of the most disappointing things for me as a fan. I was so excited when he signed.
Fowlersrs
He's certainly causing a stir on talksport, he's so passionate though I can't help thing he has a different agenda, after all his employer wants viewing figures.hes adamant Garde won't sign without his number 2 who is currently employed by Lyon, be interesting to see if Villa will pay over the odds to ensure Garde gets his No2??? El-Reacho
He's really stepped up his anti-Lerner/Fox/Riley/Almstad campaign since they told him they didn't want his column anymore.

People who live is glasshouses like Collymore shouldn't throw stones (or should i say hit women) - I cannot understand why any Villa fan who remembers his time us even listens to him.

Popular Post markavfc40
I can understand why people don't like Stan, but you can't knock his passion for the club, something that our current board lack...Yes you can actually. He didn't show that passion when he played for us. People today have either forgotten or don't know what he was like. A then club record signing by Brian Little, he amassed the grand total of 15 goals in three seasons and three of those were in a Euro game. He was a lazy git and more likely to hit women than the net during his time at Villa. Of course it was all the fault of his "depression" which didn't stop him pissing off on holiday when he felt like it. Mike I usually agree with much of what you say but not on this. Having witnessed fist hand what a devastating impact depression can have on someones life I don't think that should be downplayed when judging Collymores time at Villa. The above is not to say that his mental health issues excuse everything . I thought he would compete the jigsaw for us and help us push on from top 5 and was as pissed off and disappointed as anyone with him at the time. Having listened to and read what he went through though it puts a different perspective on it.Anyway this is way off topic. Demitri_C
God people are more focused on stans paper column and not what he is actually saying about lerner, fox, almstradt and reilly. go on continue burying your heads in the sand
Woodytom
Stan Collymore is now doing my head in. Yes the club is poorly run, but even poorly run clubs can manage more than 4 points in 10 games.I never see the point in ranting about randy Lerner. The blokes a clown when it comes to running football clubs but he's in charge and there really is nothing we can do about it.I'm confident that shouting over mark sagers won't help.
