The banker loving, baby-eating Tory party thread (regenerated)

A hopeful Tory candidate would ideally like Boris to get his break up of the NHS over the line.

It's two thirds complete.

The electorate will be angry when the consequences become clear.

Definitely just a Westminster bubble story.

A football club SM account certainly doesn't represent the consituency, but this surprises me from a desolate shithole that's been tory since 2005.

Politics has become tribal, people will not admit they were wrong about Boris when they backed him during the Brexit vote and subsequent election. He was smirking today during his PMQ, the contempt he's has for the people of the United Kingdom is disgusting.

The thing is, it will blow over eventually. The problem Boris has is that there is always another scandal of his own making waiting in the wings.

I don’t know why Starmer didn’t ask him to confirm if that was the only party he attended during lockdown so that when, inevitably, evidence breaks around the (no doubt countless) other shindigs he’d have Bozo on misleading the house and again, breaking ministerial code.

Looks like weathercock Truss doesn't think there is a big enough knife to stab him with yet. Bold move from her, but, well, she is up there with the absolute thickest in the cabinet.

She's an expert at the swift shamless u-turn. She just downloads a software update and off she goes, talking shite in a different political direction. She's a disgrace

There was a bit on the news earlier interviewing 3 elderly people in Solihull after showing them the clip of PMQ’s. They were all disgusted about the events, then asked if they would vote for him again initially they hmmm’d I’m not sure, then 1 guy said he’d vote conservative again if they had a different leader.

The initial reaction said it all tbh, they’ll vote for him again because they’ll convince themselves he’ll learn from it and it won’t happen again.

They'll vote Tory again regardless of who the leader is because they (correctly) perceive that the Conservative party is the one most aligned with their class interests as pensioners and asset-owners.

Yep. The body language was hilarious though as they just slated Boris then when asked about voting for him again were caught between what they thought (yes) and what they thought the right answer was (no).

The thing is though, that pensioners aren't better off anymore than the rest of the population. It's a trend that's changed rapidly since the recession. Old people aren't rich anymore, in general, like they were in the 90's.

My favourite bit of the whole shit show was the Rees Mogg on Newsnight announcing that the leader of the Conservatives in Scotland was a lightweight, and the audible ‘oooft!’ from Kirsty Wark.

So what's the general consensus on Rishi Sunak?   Would he be worse, better or the same level as Boris as PM?

Maybe comes in if Boris steps aside and the tories vote him in but is he electable by the British public?

Take politics out of it... I don't think the tories have the bollocks to do it, there's still some sad realities about us, especially post brexit where the brazeness of it all has seemingly increased, there will be a lingering risk that the public won't vote for him purely on his name and skin colour

Its shit but that's a feeling I have, would be very interesting to see if it's true
