They didn't always, or certainly were not the biggest parties in the UK. It wasn't until the 1918 election when Labour became a major force with the Conservatives and Liberals before hand being the main parties. Even then it wasn't until 1924 election that the Liberals lost significantly to the the extent that they became the 3rd party. They then went into pretty much oblivion until they were merged with the social democrats to become the Liberal Democrats. 

The point is that nothing lasts forever. The Tories have been held in significant power due to grip over the narrative in the press. It may be that finally people have had enough but we shall see.

Personally I feel that a politician's private life is their own business. But Osborne's clearly a duplicitous bag of shit, so this is therefore funny and okay.

But as it is, you couldn't choreograph their downfall over the next 12 months any better. It beats Game of Thrones when the Lannisters got their comeuppance.

It’s the B word. It was a complete disaster which they still fail to acknowledge and pretend it’s been a success. A half decent deal with the EU would have seen them plod along out of the relegation zone.

Both the chairman and CEO have resigned as the company’s board, investors and UK government claim that all is under control and a “turnaround plan” will be implemented under the auspices of new chairman Sir Adrian Montague.

Montague is currently Chairman of Cadent Gas Limited, Britain’s biggest gas network. Cadent Gas is run by the Australian banking group Macquarie, which owned Thames Water from 2006 to 2016 and is largely responsible for its current crisis, tripling its debts from £3.2 billion to £10.5 billion. Macquarie borrowed at a time of cheap interest rates against the company’s assets and paid out £2.8 billion in dividends to shareholders."

Sounds like a rumour not based in reality. He's no longer in the Conservative Party, why would Pincher be doing them favours?
 

Not sure there is an appeal process, if there was Johnson would probably have gone down that route.

Apparently there is an appeal process but only if Pincher can offer new evidence or find a procedural irregularity. I doubt he'll be able to do either.
