bannedfromHandV
The apologies are getting beyond tedious. For once it would be great if someone just owned it. ‘Yeah I said it, and I’d say it again because it’s what I believe, sue me’. At least I could admire their conviction even if i fundamentally disagreed with their view.

In short, they have lived in a socialist bubble all their lives. This is me, in every detail.

Pathetic, every last one of them.

Genie
I predict at least some of the first batch sent to Rwanda will immediately come straight back to the UK. I’d also predict a new crop of people traffickers to setup in Rwanda promising to get these people back to the English channel again. I think we have to thank the Germans and the two World Wars for initiating the social and political upheaval which accured in the aftermath of both. Between the wars 52,000 council houses were built by the Conservative-controlled Birmingham city council. The so-called post-war concensus after WW2, was to bring massive changes in social attitudes and increased social mobility. Such disastrous events are known to have created watershed moments in social history. It is not impossible that the unfolding economic consequences of the pandemic, may be the trigger for further seismic shifts in British society. The WEF seem to have been predicting such an outcome, but that may be just wishful-thinking on their behalf.

Since long before the two World Wars the living conditions of the masses have only been improved when its been proven we need fitter fighting men, or we need to prevent pandemics. We’ve got the biggest of the lot coming down the road, global warming will make those wars look like a warm up act. I’m not saying a socialist utopia is inevitable, but no version of the Elon Musk / Tory donor money / rampant capitalism experiment future can work.

Genie
Apparently the number on the first flight to Rwanda is down from 137 to “almost single figures” and likely to be zero by Friday when it’s due to depart.
