They won't risk losing power for a second less than they can have, or the current MP's with a seat. It's almost as if every time they have a choice to make, they make the absolute worst choice for their party It's almost impossible to make that many bad calls It almost makes you think that the whole Lib Dem agent thing may have an element of truth... And then you realise its Liz Truss and that actually explains everything.

I very much doubt there's a democracy in the world where an elected head of state has the power to dissolve an elected government and force an election. Nor should there ever be.

According to a poll on Peston last night she would perform better than any other candidate they asked about. She'd only lose to Labour by 16% Just to demonstrate how scatty this is, when they asked the same question to Tory members, she performed the worst. The top two by way of reference were Johnson (clear winner) and Sunak (clear second). Trouble is with either of those in charge the general public had them down to both lose by 30%+ In other words, they are f***ed

I think so too, I think she topped the poll because the general public don't really know her that well and she'd had a pop at Truss that day. Nothing more nothing less
