You raise an excellent point, she should have hired a bus and painted “let’s stop paying people up north the same as the people in London and instead give the NHS £170m extra per week”

I read that about 80% of the tory kingmakers are based in the South of England. It was a ploy to try and appeal to them. Of course it probably would have played better if she told them all in private. At least she's as dumb as a box of adjustables.

It’s 15:53 and neither Nadine Dorries or Liz Truss has said anything stupid yet today… can someone check they are still alive?

More to the point when was the last time Sunak said anything?

It might be that there's some discussion going on to convince Sunak to withdraw and sending in the drunk pit bull today might just be counter productive

Last thing he said was the possibility of an income tax cut in 7 years time.

I believe he’s announced a policy today where anyone ‘vilifying’ the UK or seeking to undermine it, will be committing a criminal act and put on the government political reprogramming scheme.

Alternatively he is saying stuff, but the result is such a foregone conclusion that they might just as well be reporting stuff that Michael Ancram is saying about his own leadership bid from 20 years ago for all the relevance that it has.

That would be a heinous crime by the UK Government.

They’ve already criminalised making a noise at a protest.

They’ve changed the law so strikers can be replaced.

They want out of the European Court of Human rights.

They want to ban criticism.

At what point does this get a bit dangerous?
