Comcast is the second largest Broadcast and Telecoms provider in the world. Fox / Murdoch is very much a smaller rival. Comcast is not the darling of the right that Fox is. Sunak and Mordaunt are far too much like media-ordained frontrunners for the members to feel fully comfortable with them, while Truss has that whole deputy-headteacher-failing-upwards vibe they seem to fall for. She also has the support of the ERG/Tory right over Brexit and the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill. Badenoch has the support of them, too, but... let's be real, having her as PM is never going to happen (the Tories are far too hide-bound to allow it).
