Because it's actually a serious criminal offence, whereas Neil Parish didn't actually commit a crime that I'm aware of. Remember that story from a month or so ago about an unnamed MP who was suspected of drugging another MP, who then woke up to find his nipples being licked? I mention it only in passing. IMO, Whichever complete idiot gets the PM job will be lauded as the rebirth of the Tories with a fresh clean start by the mainstream (and mainly conservative) media. Hmmm I’m not sure, I think the likes of Gove, Williamson, Raab, Truss, Dorries will be relentlessly laughed at for their consistent ability to say and do stupid things. Patel will be portrayed as a bully. JRM as completely out of touch with real people.
