markavfc40
The paper that had the leader of the opposition on its front page for 12 days with regard him eating a curry at a work event, where no one has been found to have broken any COVID rules and he himself has said he'll resign if he is found to have broken any, has tomorrow gone with this front page.

And just now on the papers review on BBC News, someone was just saying how justified this story was and what a big deal it will become.
Genie
So, I guess at some point Boris will be cornered and no fridge in sight. What is he going to say? Will he try to stall for the publication of the report? Will he claim it was a work event? Will he say as the Met agreed no rules broken he has nothing to answer for? Will he waffle on about vaccines and the economy? Will he wholeheartedly apologise for any upset caused. It was never his intention. He genuinely believed at the time all rules were followed but accepts the photos don’t look great. Lessons will certainly be learned and he will be getting in with the job of restoring peace in Europe as well as tackling the cost of living crisis. peterw
No. he'll just stand for re-Election again in a couple of years, dither and blather and look vulnerable and chumsy , and get home with another majority.
magnkarl
I don't mean to be an old whingy man, but where the hell is the honour, decorum and decency gone? There used to be etiquette, knowing when the time was to tip one's hat and walk, not lie like a populist rat with no ability to recognise the resposibility one has as a MP, PM, chancellor or whatever. Even Maggie wouldn't stoop this bloody low.

It’s also on Boris, he’s created a culture where you back him regardless and get rewarded or go against him for a punishment.

Genie
Quote But Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said that while he found the picture "difficult to look at", he suggested the presence of the PM's ministerial red box "suggests he was probably on his way through". "I think he's popped down there to raise a glass and say thank you to a long term member of staff who is leaving," he said, adding that the police would have "thoroughly investigated" the event. He also said the prime minister was "mortified". Well if he’s mortified then it’s probably enough punishment already. BBC
Davkaus
By all accounts the PM gathered people around and poured the drinks. His ministerial sycophants will bend over backwards further than the 2022 world limbo champion. They know they're the dregs of the party, only in office to serve as shields for "Big Dog".
