Lucky for him it's Easter recess so he won't get grilled in parliament for two weeks and by then everybody will have forgotten.

I really don't think that will be the case. These aren't the final fines, there's more to come, Johnson and Sunak may even get more of them yet, the Police appear to be doing this party at a time

Are you pro or anti Tory?

Ill be seeing my dad later who is fully behind Boris so he’ll no doubt be brushing this off.

Interesting to see any Conservative supporters on this forum and what their opinion on this is.

Most I’ve seen or heard from think it’s a

media witch-hunt.

Yeah, that bloody socialist-controlled media.

It’s ridiculous, but so many think that’s the case. Of course, when the media were calling out Labour for alleged antisemitism, that was all fine and dandy, no witch-hunt there.

He broke the law, that’s reprehensible for a Prime Minister. What makes it worse, he lied to Parliament about it. By any measure of any precedent in our Parliamentary system, he should resign for that. He can take that toe rag of a Chancellor with him too.

I am certainly not pro Tory.  I think we chased anyone with that kind of leaning out of this thread long ago giving us this wonderful anti Tory echo chamber.

If only it was representative of the electorate eh.

It's like they've forgotten what we were all going through at the time this happened.

We had the police telling us (with no lawful basis, mind you), we could only exercise once a day. We couldn't even see close friends out in the open air. In some parts of the country we had roads blocked off with police checkpoints. I just cannot understand any reaction but absolute fury at what these people were doing, setting the rules, ignoring them, laughing at us, and then lying about it.

Each and every single one of them is unfit for public office.

He'll really tie himself in knots trying to explain how he wasn't at the parties except for when he was at the parties but they followed the rules except for when they didn't follow the rules because he wasn't told what the rules were even though he made the rules but this doesn't prove any wrongdoing except for specifically being fined by the police which definitely does prove wrongdoing but it's all trivial anyway because Starmer had a beer once

Yep, there will be a lot of “everybody broke the rules at some point” being said

It all comes back to what that opposition MP said a few months back (apologies I forget their name)

We've got a Prime Minister who is trying to arguing between criminality and stupidity.
