If as a country we've decided none of this matters then there's no point me getting annoyed and wound up anymore. I'm hoping, that like America, enough people will vote to show their disgust.

It’s difficult to go down in history as a great prime minister without a proper crisis you can claim to have triumphed over. A good prime minister would have risen to the challenge and perhaps quietly seen it as an opportunity to be remembered forever. Statues and parliament square etc. All they had to do was manage it correctly and behave with a modicum of dignity. This clown saw it as an opportunity to have a bonfire of our democratic and civil rights and have his cronies embezzle a load of public money for good measure. Oh and get massively pissed up nightly while doing it.

I'm not sure there is anyone to be perfectly honest It isn't that simple anyway. There are two Tory Parties (just as there are two Labour Parties) and the person who gets the job will have to keep both sides happy. That's really why Johnson is in this mess, he failed to keep the side he picked as his own happy. The throbby right wing Brexit nutters don't like all the restrictions (which is why we have hardly any), they also don't like the Brexit deal they originally liked (that there is an indication in itself that the throbbers are stupid.) Boris has failed to satisfy the side he chose and that's why all the revelations are being leaked Sunak, will be the throbbers candidate and Truss will be less throbby sides candidate because no-one likes Gove, no-one. But Gove will stand because he's the sort of socially inept buffoon that doesn't realise no-one likes him. That Truss will even be a candidate shows the lack of talent at their disposal. Look behind Sunak and Truss, who is there? Raab? Dories? (and the trobbers hate her too) Patel? Javid? Shapps? Braverman? Rees-Mogg I'll wager most have never even heard of the rest of the cabinet, seriously your average elector won't have a clue who Dowden and Malthouse are let alone the likes of Donelan and Adams. There's only one Cabinet member apart from Sunak that appears to have any kind of nouse and thats Zahawi. Most of that cabinet are nothing more than sock puppets Even beyond the cabinet, there's Duncan-Smith, Liam Fox. Ester McVey, Jeremy Hunt... David Davies? They are a party of inept dipshits just as riven by internal disputes as Labour (if not moreso tbh) They've almost exhausted the current talent pool, which is a feat in itself given the actual size of the current parliamentary party and which also shows why most of them are there. Labour in comparison do actually have some, not a lot but some talent in comparison

Yep. If this doesn't get rid of the apathy a lot of people have then nothing will. And like with Trump, imagine if they do win again. It would validate everything they've done. It would encourage them to do even more.

I am in zero doubt that had Brown won the 2010 election and Labour subsequent ones this country would be in a far, far better place than it is now. Given the shit show we have now some seem to look back on the Cameron/Osborne years with rose tinted glasses. The ideological austerity they inflicted on this country and the pushing of millions into poverty and thousands into homelessness was unforgivable. They also planted and nurtured the seed of blaming others for your woes, at that time those on benefits, which then grew into also blaming the EU and Johnny foreigner. There was also no magic money tree was there until we found tens of billions to siphon off into the hands of Tory donors and their friends and family. We have been duped. Well some of us have. There is a better way. There are better people now to vote for than these evil, self serving bastards. If you continue to believe there isn't though then you are playing right into Tory hands and are a huge part of the problem. A prime example of the talentless pricks that inhabit the Tory Party He also doesn't mention that is the MPs that will decide whether to dump Johnson not his constituents, so those Tory MPs are far more relevant than some people who wrote to him. If there's a "coup" to get rid of Johnson it can ONLY be from within. His postbag is irrelevant When he's one of the few tosspots that's prepared to publically back Johnson, you know Johnson is in trouble. Then of course there was the Truss loyalty tweet, which as designed to show her loyalty to the cause and not Johnson.
