tinker Posted January 3, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted January 3, 2016 We are very poor in every area and need to change as many players as we can but haven't got any real quality in the squad. Maybe pick players on attitude rather than their potential ability. Bunn to start with okore and Clark, cissoko at lb and Richards at RB with Sanchez and Veretout in the middle and Sinclair and Bacuna on the wings .Ayew and rudy/ kozak upfront , get some crosses in and try and spoil it in the middle. Its for pride now , let's just not get beat and when we do make it hard for the other team to do it. UTV
danceoftheshamen
We basically need to be as good as Man Utd were in the 1st half of the season to have any hope of staying up. That is 1.6pts per game or a W8 D6 L4 record from the last 18 games. That would still only put us on 38 points but we would have a half chance at that. I just listened to Souness say on TV (when asked where Chelsea could finish) that they were only 12 points off 4th place which they could well make up. We have 11 to make up but it would require some kind of miraculous recruiting this window for us to even have a chance and that just is not going to happen. The problem is the pathetic recruitment policy which is, sorry to disappoint you Mr Fox, a complete farce. It's nothing more than a year on year squad weakening system. useless
We shouldn't think in terms of staying up or not staying up or thinking too far ahead. Just go into every game trying to win it.
useless
We can always win the next match. It's just one game, the rest will take care of itself.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
We're down. Have been for a while. Here's hoping for a decent cup run at least.
VillaAlex
Even if we somehow miracurously survived this season, it would be the same again next year. Our team has been pulled apart year after year. The only hope is that if we most likely go down, the bounce back and we build a team that grows with us. Hopefully players like Grealish can grow and mature as players as we can come back up with confidence. Teams like Leicester, Crystal Palace, Southampton and even now Bournemouth have developed 'teams' in the Championship who have come up shown up sides time and time again. tinker Posted January 3, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted January 3, 2016 A good owner or CEO can make all the difference, we won't be the last "big club" to go down due to mis management. The sky money makes it easier for the less traditional clubs to compete .
Sam3773
We need a manager who is experienced in getting teams promoted. What's Paul up to these days?

Theres no doubting we're down now really, even the optimist must surely admit we're down. We're not even in a relegation fight, were just looking up with interest at who will join us. Until these piles of man custard bugger off from this club then we will free fall and it will get worse than it is now.
