Davkaus
Next week's game against our top 4 rivals will be a little more challenging.
NoelVilla
Poor first half. Better second. MOTM Gestede. Gana and Amavi should be mentioned. Should be fun to see when this team has played more games together. Up the Villa!!!
JoeParker91
Great result, poor first half but played much better in the second half. Great to see a clean sheet too, Clark and Richards were fantastic. Really impressed with Gueye too and well done Rudy!
Daweii
We likely won't have a game as tough for a while Man Utd will likely beat us but we'll carve out more chances against them than against a pumped up, adrenaline fueled newly promoted team. We did what was necessary to win and that is all I can ask of the team. Bring on Man Utd in hopefully a far more open contest..

Supervillan78
Ha Ha 3pts plus we've beaten the Bournemouth media-wank banana skin!
GeordieVillan
Fantastic result. Just what we needed to settle the new boys in. The game against Man Utd now has much less pressure on it and is a "free hit". The back 4 were excellent, Guzan was good other than his kicking. Richards/Clark looks a good partnership and the fullbacks looked great. Midfield was decent, Westwood was solid, Veretout and Gueye will improve. Sinclair and Gabby were decent, but looked better second half with Gestede giving them an option. Ayew did ok, nothing memorable. I have a feeling our front 3 against Man Utd will be Sinclair, Gestede and Gabby. Well done Tim.
Shomin Geki
Very, very professional. Very smart. We calmed down the yappy pup and made them look tired very quickly. Amavi looks exceptionally good, Gana a totem in midfield, too early for Vertout and Ayew, and Richards mobile and solid despite the odd lapse. Very happy. terrytini
terrific result, good perfromance against a side who will have been as hyped up as any we face this year. Avoided banana skin which is always good but especially with so many new faces. Richards and Clark excellent.

Guest
Team has a lot of learning to do, but I'm happy with that start.
Intercourse_The_Penguin
First half a bit ropey, but second really promising with so many new faces in the side. Loved Amavi, Richards, Gueye and Clark. Gabby was anonymous at times, but played his part in some nice moves. Rudy's gonna become a Holte favourite this season, I reckons. But opening day win, away from home in a tricky fixture. Feels pretty damn good.

bose
Great three points on a difficult ground and occasion. Amavi was great. Ayew needs time. Rudy is a monster.
Villanun
Poor first half, much better in the second. Impressed by Gana, Richards, Amavi and Rudy. Not yet sure about the other new signings. Gabby frustrating as always - some great moments in a sea of mediocrity. Guzan made a couple of good stops, but his distribution remains awful. Great to score a goal from a set piece. And Clattenburg was biased and shit, but that's no surprise any more.
Nigel Posted August 8, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted August 8, 2015 Victory away from home at a promoted side can not be understated! Its all about the results in the first few games...it can shape a season. Great result!
