VILLAMARV
I just realised Bournemouth have made 9 signings aswell. Do they need time to gel or is it just ours?
roonst83
No Gil, Grealish and Okore. So much uncertainty on how we'll set up offensively. Can't see anything but a defeat here which will satisfy the media w.ank fest that will precede the game.
PaulC
I just realised Bournemouth have made 9 signings aswell. Do they need time to gel or is it just ours? They'll stick with the nucleus of the side that got them promoted so its a bit different than us
a m ole
I just realised Bournemouth have made 9 signings aswell. Do they need time to gel or is it just ours? Nope, it is notoriously the hardest game in world football to play a promoted side on the first game of the season, everyone knows that. Their new signings give them life and build upon an already successful team, where as ours replace better players that have moved on from a sinking ship, not to mention that they will be far more motivated to get a result to prove themselves. Or, maybe not.http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/newly-promoted-teams-opening-day-6150030I can't quote it properly from my phone, soz Edited August 5, 2015 by a m ole
Popular Post Shomin Geki
I know I'm kidding myself here, but a polite request that we're all measured and reasonable about this match. As Trent says it could be 3-0 either way and there'll be hyperbole everywhere like it's oxygen. The Sleeping Giant of Aston Villa is tired, groggy and uncertain on his feet. The blinding sunlight may hurt his eyes. This new exciting world may be a little too much for him. But he's still a mighty **** giant. With our passion and support he'll get there, terrifying the villagers (no clubs mentioned) like the good old days. Let's be intelligent eh lads? I guess I'm approaching this game like homework. Maybe Major Tim and the boys are too. Lets hope there's a couple of fist pumps amongst the diagrams. UTV!

Kingman
I think this is the first time in my life i thought to myself, that we could either loose a game 3-0 or win 5-0 and i wouldn't be at all surprised at either If that makes sense lol
DCJonah
I'd be surprised if Veretout and Gestede don't start. We need our first choice players to gel, they're not going to do that by not playing together.
osmark86
I just realised Bournemouth have made 9 signings aswell. Do they need time to gel or is it just ours? This. they've also released 9 players. I think this game could swing either way, but I'm banking on an exciting draw. 2-2 or 3-3.
PieFacE Posted August 6, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted August 6, 2015 (edited) Let's get this season started with! 3-0 loss I think! I'm going for... Guzan Bacuna - Richards - Clark - Amavi Westwood - Gueye Ayew Veretout Sinclair Kozak Though I'd prefer Gestede to play but I think Kozak will get the nod.... Wainy316
I can see Veretout initially being introduced from the bench.
troon_villan
I can see Veretout initially being introduced from the bench. Me too. He looked very unsure of himself last week. He might need to be guided in slowly but expertly like a stiff cock to a inexperienced yet willing young woman.

DamsonwoodVillan
Very very tough game. On paper I'd fancy us to win but I think in the context of the game it will count for nothing. 1-1 or 2-1 Bournemouth. Guzan Hutton Richards Clark Amavi Gueye Westwood Veretout Bacuna Ayew Sinclair
