Zatman
thought he did OK today when he came on but think that his role going forward. impact sub
LondonLax
I think he is a very limited player but on the other hand when he doesn't play we have no presence or shape in the final third. It's very frustrating but I think we need him as the focal point of our attack unless Kozak can play that role or we buy a new striker next month. Perhaps the conditions helped as it slowed the tempo right down. Shame he couldn't be as sharp in front of goal.
Stevo985 Posted December 20, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted December 20, 2015 He did ok yesterday in terms of the not in front of goal stuff, if you know what I mean. Held it up well, flick ons were good, linked up with Ayew. The system we were playing clearly worked much better with Gestede on. He's just quite shit at putting the ball in the net. Bunnski
Meh, that was him on a good day and he still missed some great chances. We can't be relying on him to get us the goals to give us a chance of staying up and I'd happily see him sold in January.
nick76
We dont play to his strengths. As soon as we whip a ball in the box, he looks a real threat....we just dont whip in many balls from the corners, it's all from deep. It's the same point we said to Liverpool fans about Benteke and them not playing a system that suits him.....and that's now coming to fruition. We can't take our own advice. We buy a striker that is good with wingers and then we play down the middle with little width....friggin obvious isnt it
Zatman
He is the man criticized the most after a defeat but he is having a good game again today so far and looking more like a big striker But most amazing is the pace for that penalty, where did that come from
Dr_Pangloss
As impotent a finisher I've seen since Heskey.
lexicon
Unlucky not to score today, put himself about a lot against a very tight defence.
poitier
His general play seems a lot better than when he first came in, but he had at least two or three big headed chances and failed to get any on target.
Bunnski
He is always going to have an impact in the air and did well for the penalty but once again he missed 2 great chances and is a major reason why we are where we are.
supermon
Lot better today. Impressed with his speed for the penalty, just wish he took one of his chances
Jimzk5
you cant knock his heart, effort and desire but sadly he just isn't good enough in the premier league
Demitri_C
another heskey in my eyes not good enough for this level but we need to keep him to help us come back up
VillaChris
Good point on the touches, his hold up play was miles better today than whenever I've seen him live before. That said he should've got one of those two headers on target.
DCJonah
Good game today. Play like that more often and goals will come.
Chicken Field
The thing is, awful finishing, but at least he got in to the positions. We have no other players that would have gotten in to those positions.
chappy
Thought he had a good game today, although should've done better with that free header at 0-

Great effort today, one of his better games for us. But ultimately his best isn't good enough at this level. And judging by his career record, last year was the exception rather than the rule, so i wouldn't be confident that he could even produce again in the championship should we go down. Its a terrible record really.
