Plus, he had absolutely nothing to do. My thoughts exactly. Didn't have enough to do to make any kind of judgement today and I personally thought some of his kicking was a bit dodgy. Yeah but sometimes a fresh face in goal gives the defence more confidence. I think defenders were a bit sick of/too comfortable with Guzan that a change provided a boost
Kbdrum88
Looking like bunn may have userped Guzan from these comments for Leicester http://mobile.avfc.co.uk/default.aspx?s=news-display&aid=5275716

No, it doesn't: "It's the way he behaves too - in that it's not only about the saves you make when you are in this position. "It's also the confidence and calm you can transmit to the team. "I was pleased with Mark for that." That's the end of the quote. Like I said, I could be wrong (and I probably am because it's just a guess and I've only read the quote not heard it) Edited January 15, 2016 by alreadyexists
villan-scott Posted January 15, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted January 15, 2016 The one positive is he's not Guzan...
VillaChris
He'll stay in for this weekend surely...I would be amazed if he dosen't have more to do tomorrow so will get a better judgement then.

dont_do_it_doug.
Apart from the clear cut chances he created with his kicking, his kicking was terrible.
Tomaszk
He's not good I don't think. Guzan has forced himself out the side though, so all the best Mark.

Two in a row went straight out into touch. Even the commentator commented on it. A couple went way too long as well, either out for a goal kick or straight through to Hennessey. He wasn't terrible at all, but Guzan's kicking is vastly exaggerated on here. If Guzan had kicked like Bunn did vs Palace there would be about 8 pages in his thread about how bad it was. Wainy316
At least he didn't kick as bad as Fabianski the other day. That was woeful.

Like I said, I could be wrong (and I probably am because it's just a guess and I've only read the quote not heard it) I see what you mean but I think the way it's divided into two sentences in the article makes it appear that way, and also remember he's not totally fluent yet. Read it as "It's the way he behaves too - in that it's not only about the saves you make in this position, it's also the confidence and calm you transmit to the team." The stuff after the hyphen is the clarification of his original comment, "he behaves well - what I mean by that is it's not just saves but giving also confidence." I also just don't think that's Garde's style to make subtle digs, if he wanted to make an example of Guzan he probably would in a matter of fact way as he has with other players, Grealish etc.

You're right in regard to Remi not being totally fluent, his English is excellent it not fluent, I see what you mean in that meaning can sometimes be lost.
Zatman
made some good saves ,his free kick distribution was good . Also impressed by his attitude, everytime an offside he was sprinting up to take the free kick
Dr_Pangloss
Decision making is very questionable but did make some decent saves, with the penalty save being massive for us.
