Got a decent cross on him and if cissohko stays he covers for his attacking deficiencies. I like him pushed forward with Rico Henry behind, they could interchange with each other. You get a like for the Rico Henry comment, but hplease take back the Cissokho comment Edited July 4, 2016 by mikeyp102

KSV
I am glad he is back for pre season as he will need to build his fitness from scratch.

After suffering through the mess that was last season with a select bunch of players who couldn't give a rats arse it's great to see players like Jordan & Stan just happy to be back running & training again and not taking things for granted. He's been doing a certain amount of training over the past few months. Obviously he won't be up to match fitness, but I'd hardly say he's starting from scratch. Popular Post rodders0223
There won't be a more potent fullback in the league next season. Will be an absolute class above. Imperative to our promotion bid and turning VP into a feared place to come.

Mantis
If he stays, he'll probably be looking a lot better than all our other players from last season and not just because he's a genuinely better player. **** knows what kind of mental toll that season took on our already mentally weak players so it's good that he missed most of it, in a way. sir_gary_cahill
I can't wait to see him in the Championship, he really should excel, I thought he looked amazing in the Premier League last season. Hopefully, he has recovered sufficiently from his injury and suffers no further setbacks
Popular Post VillaChris
Some great stuff from him on the O/S about the trip...dosen't really strike me me as individual who's desperate to leave just yet. https://www.avfc.co.uk/News/2016/07/14/amavi-tour-diary-part-two Quote Well it’s now the end of the trip to Austria and I have to say it’s been very worthwhile. No player particularly likes pre-season – it’s hard work and very demanding – but it needs doing to be ready for the new season. Roberto and his coaching team have worked us very hard and we’re in good shape now going into the pre-season friendlies on home soil. I missed the GAK Graz game with a little niggle on Saturday but I was back in training on Tuesday so I’m feeling positive, confident and fit heading into this next important period. Talking of the GAK Graz match, it was tremendous to see Stiliyan Petrov out there. Stan's story is one that goes above football – it’s a story of how important courage, persistence and determination are in life.Jordan Amavi I didn’t know Stan before I arrived at Villa but obviously I had read his story.
Keyblade
If Lowton was one of the best fullbacks in the division last season, Amavi will truly be a cut above the rest. Would be such a coup to keep him here this season.

I think people are forgetting how quick he was up and down the left...Sunderland home game he was lightning setting up the Sinclair tap in. Most championship defences are very slow and lumbering so yes if we keep him and Adama they will cause chaos I'm sure of it.
sexbelowsound
The way he is talking makes me think he is actually happy to stay. Surely if a player is thinking of leaving you don't get them writing a blog for the website?

But it doesn't stop an enormous offer coming in, and they can change things. Basically I'm hopeful but nervous.
