VillaChris
I agree, I'd rather drop Westwood for this as I'd feel more confident with Carlos attempting to mark Coutinho out of the game.I think Gana will start but Veretout will be benched. lexicon
I just hope to see a midfield trio of a settled Gana-Sanchez-Veretout at some point.
avfctom89
Sanchez, gana and veretout sounds like an ideal midfield 3 , hopefully we will see it before to long . Maybe today ??
Rob182
It still feels too soon for Veretout to make an impact. I hope he plays, as I think he needs more gametime to improve, but I think we'll see Gana, Westwood and Sanchez today.
bobzy
Thought Gueye was poor today, but it was good to see him back in team. He'll be much needed.
Czechlad
He was really poor. Westwood and Sanchez would be getting crucified on here if they played like Gana did.

Bunnski
He didn't look fit and put us under pressure a lot with his mistakes. Should of been subbed
poitier
He did a lot good but also a lot bad. Not helped by often receiving the ball under pressure, deep in our own half, facing our own goal.
villa89
Didn't look fit at all. When Gestede got the first goal he ran back to the centre circle. Gana was just walking which I assume was to protect his hamstring.
foreveryoung
Wasn't fit, neither was traore, bit of desperation from Tim me thinks.
lexicon
Clearly not ready to be back in the side - not his fault he wasn't up to scratch.
Dr_Pangloss
Very poor but no coincidence that he played like that in his first game back from injury.

KJT123
He was awful. Didn't even look arsed in the second half, kept giving the ball away on the edge of our box. Although, I'll let him off as he has been one of our best performers when he's started this season.
markavfc40
He was poor yesterday and whilst some of that can be put down to a lack of fitness, although he had only been out for 2 weeks, I think it is to be expected that new players adjusting to the Prem will look off the pace at times and prone to errors.Whilst both Gana and Amavi have looked very good players for the most part they have also made some shocking errors due in the main to simply not being allowed the same amount of time on the ball they would have been used to. The same can be said even more so for Veretout and Ayew who have for the most part looked way off the pace.We saw and still do see similar with Sanchez in that he looks far too casual and times and loses possession easily. That doesn't make any of these lads poor players. Far from it. It just means we as supporters are going to have to excuse the odd mistake or overall poor games whilst they settle. Tom13
Our best central midfielder without a doubt, such a classy player. I agree that he does make the occasional error to lose possession but him and Amavi will become crucial for us.
