AshVilla
Nearly as bad as Houllier clapping the kop and completely ignoring the away fans on that rainy away night at Anfield a few seasons back
dudevillaisnice
Alarm bells should've been ringing when he said this would be his last job. It usually means they see it as their last payday, still, atleast he enjoyed his day out to Chelsea..

GENTLEMAN
Chelsea are his "team", he has failed pretty much elsewhere as a number 2. As others have said, he is here to pick up a cheque and do nothing else.
Popular Post VillaChris
I think it's further proof that assistant manager has to be one of the most overrated roles in football, how much influence do they really have on teams bar taking the odd training drills? It was the same with Roy Keane.Ultimatedly it's Sherwood's head on the block for decisions so he won't be delegating much to his staff. Not just here, how much influence does Steve Bould really have at Arsenal? That was a sentimental appointment just to appease the fans growing restless at Wenger.Liverpool bringing back Gary Mac didn't exactly improve them either. The idea that just appointing an experienced assistant manager can gain us 10 points is just fantasy, we need better players for a start.
tinker Posted October 17, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted October 17, 2015 Can you imagine the ding dong if the special ones assistant clowned about like wilkins did, when his doctor ran on the pitch the world came to an end ........We have been mugged by the London media , I would rather have SAF pick our managers..
VillaChris
That said that picture of him cuddling up to Mourinho at I assume at a point of the game when we were losing dosen't exactly hint he was laying into them in the dressing room afterwards or indeed he's playing his part in creating a winners mentality as Sherwood keeps banging on about. He's just happy having a job in the premier league, it pays very well. Popular Post foreveryoung
Top professional This is not a man who can drill mentality into his team. Hugging the opposition manager during or after the game shows no emotion or passion for the club you are supposed to be working for. Watch other managers/assistants after a loss, quick handshake not even looking at the opposition manager, pissed they have been beaten. This does not go down well in my books!! And another thing! Managers and the like, know shit like this pisses fans off, so why the F*** would he do this infront of away fans who are already a little pissed with the job they are doing. I know he has love for Mourino, but I think he should have definately kept the Cock S**** for behind the scenes. Popular Post maqroll
It conveys a negative message to the players. Almost as if he's saying we're a **** joke. Which we are ATM, but we don't need our management team perpetuating the idea. Dick.
VillaChris
Last two comments hit the nail on the head, constant defeat after defeat isn't hurting enough at the club otherwise it wouldn't be happening every single week.
maqroll
John Gregory has retweeted some tweets critical of Wilkins' behavior.Good to see that. Makes me wish we had some true Villans in the dugout and not these impostors.
