VillaChris
Well if you remember that lot when they were at SHA there were plenty of kid for a quid deals and stuff, I think they've carried that out also at West Ham so imagine they'll be those sort of deals for midweek home games v Bournemouth and Norwich. Stevo985 Posted January 3, 2016 VT Supporter Share Posted January 3, 2016 I went to the Olympic Stadium for one of Ireland's Rugby World Cup games and I was completely underwhelmed. It's shit. Completely temporary feel. There's no buildings to it, just stands. It looks like those temporary stands you used to get in to have your school picture taken on when the whole school lined up for a photo.

villa4europe
Tickets in certain parts might be discounted, it won't be those in the away end though... On that BBC thing they said that 100k tickets a season were to be given to he local council to distribute They might as well set up a ticket office in Leicester square too, it'll be packed with tourists The whole thing is a farce, not sure what happened with the petition for an investigation in to all They should be operating on a top 6 budget with the stadium income, the income from selling Upton park, they can get stadium sponsors, they can even flog the club now at an inflated price and pocket the benefit The whole thing is absolutely criminal

Well we need to look at what they did in 2011 and copy it, not do the complete opposite. As soon as they went down they sacked Grant and got in a proven manager like Big Sam who got them promotion (just). On their return to the prem they spent good money on likes of Downing, Carroll etc, o;k overpriced but good established prem players and they've since used loans and good scouting (Lanzini) to build their squad up to top 8 standard. Well we do the same, only with new owners I'd suggest.
villa4europe
so they've released the contract after the petition and legal wranglings... West Ham pay £2.5m in rent, fixed for 99 years, halved if they get relegated, they have to pay £1m if they win the CL, £250k if they qualify for CL, £100k if they win FA cup, finish top 5 or qualify for EL the cost of renovating the stadium is £272m of which west ham have contributed £15m west ham do not have to pay for stewards, policing, cleaners, turnstile operators, heating, lighting, goal posts, corner flags, pitch maintenance, not sure where the profit from food sales and corporate etc goes the first £4m of any naming rights will go to the local council and then 50/50 split after that but if wolfie and porno dwarf flog the club at inflated rates they pocket the lot there was nothing on the giving of tickets to local schools and the council, the BBC investigation in to it said they had to give 100k tickets a season to the local community unsurprisingly its ropey as ****, thats criminal and id be amazed if UEFA dont investigate that as state aid

villa4europe
i got the selling the club bit wrong, they do have to give some money to the council if they flog the club, on of the journos on twitter said it was banded, 7.5% if they sell for £100m-150m, i think it was 20% if it was over £300m

As tempting as it must be for you to blame some tories, Coe wasn't even on the committee that came up with that deal. It did, however, include the Labour Mayors of Tower Hamlets, Newham and Hackney, and the Labour Leader of Waltham Forest Council. It's similar to all those who have that earnest belief that Real Madrid is funded by the Spanish State / Madrid Council / The Ghost of the Generalisimo. However, I agree with villa4europe. The EU has investigated clubs in other countries for a lot less than this.
Rugeley Villa
i read the other day that they are extending the capacity to 60k because the initial 50k is not enough. they have sold their full quota of season tickets and need more seats.
Genie
They get policing free / included in the £2.5m. Arsenal pay about £1m a year to police for their games. They even have the grass cut for them! Its a ridiculous deal. Someone should challenge it in the courts as they have an enormous advantage over everyone else. Spurs new stadium north of £400m, Chelsea close to £600m. West Ham pay £2.5m rent ALL INCLUSIVE.
