Mantis
I was actually in tears at the final whistle. Please tell me I'm not the only one?
terrytini
I was actually in tears at the final whistle. Please tell me I'm not the only one? You aren't the only one. You were joined by (over) half of Birmingham (etc) in tears of relief and deep ecstatic joy, half of Liverpool in tears of despair, and the rest of the country in tears of laughter !!! Seriously though, I was too, my missus - who goes to the odd game but isn't really ' into' it came in from the garden (where she knew she had to stay once we scored !) in tears and we jigged around, my lad( who used to go but hasn't for 5 years) even broke off from GTA 5 to join in.

snowychap
Absolutely incredible day. I'll write more later, but for the moment here's something for the VT Photoshop experts to get their teeth stuck into Stevo's Martin Lewis? :
daggy_333
Been home about 40 minutes. I'm exhausted, but it was so worth it. They definitely fought like lions today. Proud of the players, coaching staff and supporters!

terrytini
Jeez watching the BBC version I'm not sure we even won !!!! Showed more of the last 10 minutes when plop slightly on top than the preceding 80 when we largely DOMINATED THEIR A%#%%£@ !!!!!!
darrenm
Only the BBC could make a game where we utterly dominated against Liverpool look even.
snowychap
I've not seen any of the 'aftermath' until just. I'd like to applaud Rodgers. He said on both occasions that I saw that we were the better team and deserved to win. Good man. Nice and thanks.
terrytini
Commentators everywhere utterly failing to realise the difference between a disallowed goal and a player shooting after everyone else has stopped. Ffs the linesman's flag went up before bagojelly even got the ball !!!
villaglint
About 10 odd years ago I remember the Geordies getting a last minute winner against us and there was a fan who got committed because he couldn't stop going mental after they scored (he was going bat shit for 30 mins and his misses called the cops ). When we won I screamed and screamed and there was a point where I thought I might just do this forever. Felt like I understood that Geordie for a second. I love Villa. I love football so so much. terrytini
Funny isn't it. Only a few weeks ago I THOUGHT I hated football. Now I realise how utterly stupid I was and that actually I love football too !!!
MikeMcKenna Posted April 19, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted April 19, 2015 Just got home. Lost my voice but what a day, what a day, WHAT A DAY!!!!!! Still on cloud 9. The lads were fantastic especially, Delph, Benteke and Grealish! The fans were definitely the Twelth Man today - tremendous! Bring on the Arsenal!

Neil
I was actually in tears at the final whistle. Please tell me I'm not the only one? I was honestly holding them back, misses jeering me about it and says "it's only football, get a grip"...she's getting divorced in the morning. So good today, fans were incredible...only our fans and players turned up today. I've had Liverpool fans admit we were "all over them" and they seem quite humbled....weirdly. I quite enjoyed the motd highlights BTW, they were unilateral in saying we were the better team in the end.
Popular Post PriceyDownunder
Rugby League is the sport of choice round these parts. My 8 year old and I were watching our beloved Wests Tigers play Canberra Raiders. After 20 minutes Wests Tigers were up 22-0 and completely dominant, and looked like racking up a cricket score. Out of the blue, my son asks who I'd prefer to win: Wests Tigers or Villa later. I told him that Villa were by far more important than Wests Tigers. Wests Tigers then proceeded to totally capitulate and lose 30-22. At the end of the game, my lad then consoles me by saying that must mean Villa will beat Liverpool...
