TrinityRoadSteps
Down to one now. Harvey on the mound tonight for, hopefully, the clincher. Just need to overtake The Dodgers now for home field advantage in the NLDS
kurtsimonw
A friend says he's got a playoff ticket with my name on it if I can get out there. Can't **** wait!
maqroll
Nothing quite like MLB playoffs. Its like a totally different sport in some ways. Great intensity. Cold weather, angst ridden fans, every pitch matters. Love it, even when my club is not involved.

kurtsimonw
Apparently lots of money going on the Cubs for the World Series, because they win it in Back to the Future in the year 2015!

maqroll
I'd like them to win it, they've suffered long enough
kurtsimonw
If they don't win it over the net decade with all that young talent they have, they never will.

kurtsimonw
Apparently took offense to the fact Harper didn't run out the fly ball very hard, which would've made no difference. After the game he says "It's happened for hundreds of years". I think Papelbon's IQ might actually be a negative number.I also liked the fact that the game was tied and he gave up a HR when he went in. kurtsimonw
In a sense, but we've already won it this past century.
maqroll
I won 4/5 fantasy leagues this year. Not sure to be proud or embarrassed.
kurtsimonw
Mets going in to the playoffs about as cold as can be. Worrying. Not getting homefield was massive, more so for the Dodgers inability on the road than anything. Now they have Kershaw and Greinke at home. Not good. kurtsimonw
Nice! Wouldn't mind the Rangers winning that one, the few Blue Jays fans I know need to be taken down a step or two - you'd think they'd already won it.
maqroll
Same, can't stand all their fair weather fans and the ugly dome and fake turf.

El Zen
Sabathia to miss playoffs for alcohol rehab, must be pretty severe...Yeah, really strange timing if this isn't really serious. Despite his dramatically declining ability, I do have a lot of time for the big man so this really is very sad news, even if getting his massive contract off the books would help the Yanks a lot.
