useless
Think Fox's comments may suggest that there won't be massive funds all of a sudden with new owners. I think they were meant as more of a comment on what Randy has done for the club, rather than any future new owners.

El-Reacho
I dont think Thomas knows anything at this point about any possible new owners intentions or aspirations. I think he would be involved - Fox is a much bigger presence at the club than his predecessor ever was.

dudevillaisnice
Though the identity of the mystery favoured bidder is unknown, Fox has hinted that Lerner will only have considered owners who have shown an understanding and appreciation for Villa's status within English football. "Randy bought the club because he is familiar with the area," he explained. "He went to Cambridge and he understands the history of the club. When we met he gave me a book of the history of Villa and he talks passionately about the club. "I think Randy is looking for people who obviously have the financial means to buy it, the financial means to continue support and people who understand what they're getting which is a real jewel within the English game. I am sure those are all part of the criteria that he's looking for." http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/tim-sherwood-future-not-secure-amid-150m-aston-villa-takeover-plans-1505413
Popular Post PieFacE Posted June 10, 2015 VT Supporter Popular Post Share Posted June 10, 2015 Wouldn't be much of a takeover if they couldn't buy the club....
OneNightInRotterdam
Wouldn't be much of a takeover if they couldn't buy the club.... tbf Paul Smith didn't have the cash, and could've saddled the club with £75 million debt.

PaulC
We really need it to happen soon, as we are in a state of limbo. We don't know who we can sign or whether Sherwood's going to be in a job when it happens,.
Mantis
Seriously doubt Sherwood will be dispensed with upon completion of the takeover.

useless
It wouldn't surprise me at all, I think new owners will want to bring in their own guy. If so hopefully they've got someone sorted rather than them having to go on a managerial hunt.
Duck
http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/trainer/verfuegbaretrainer/statistik#ath There's not many managers available on this list that I'd be comfortable with.... The ones that we'd like I'm sure wouldn't touch us. I'd rather stick it's Sherwood, give him a go, at least til christmas

If so hopefully they've got someone sorted rather than them having to go on a managerial hunt. This seems to be a common misconception but there are few (if any) examples of new owners doing this. Yes, they may eventually line up their own guy at the incumbent's expense but not instantaneously. It's not like Sherwood is unpopular either. dudevillaisnice
Yeah can't see them getting rid whoever they are. I will however say should things start to look a bit off around christmas he will probably be replaced without much thinking depending on the profile of the new owners.
useless
Just because owners haven't in the past come into a club and changed the manager straight away doesn't mean to say our new guys won't.
