Neil
Anyone go today? Is it true our away fans were chanting Sherwood's name?Followed by 'Out'?Did ask a mate who went, apparently didn't hear any sherwood out songs.
villa4europe
There weren't any sherwood out chants, plenty of Tim sherwoods C&B army and a few sherwoods give us a wave chants in the first half, was very surprised by it
Richard
I'm not even thinking of him in terms of being our manager any more. He's effectively out as far as I'm concerned.

Popular Post dudevillaisnice
Quite a few papers running with this story that apparently Moyes want the Villa job.. David Moyes would return to the Premier League if he was offered the chance to manage Aston Villa, writes Steve Bates in the Sunday People .Former Manchester United and Everton chief Moyes is currently in La Liga managing Real Sociedad – but he made no secret of his desire to return to English football when the time is right. And after turning down overtures from Sunderland last summer it is believed he would jump at the chance to take charge at Villa – if the Midlands club decide to ditch Tim Sherwood. As Sunday People Sport exclusively revealed last week Sherwood is under pressure after a poor start to the season and American owner Randy Lerner is running out of patience. If he does decide to axe Sherwood, Moyes has told close friends Villa is a job that would immediately tempt him from Spain.Moyes Wants ItFor multiple papers to report it I presume we are sounding out managers. Lerner would approve of Moyes, think Fox would too. Edited October 17, 2015 by dudevillaisnice
Popular Post TrentVilla Posted October 17, 2015 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted October 17, 2015 Yep the Moyes interest in the Villa job is across pretty much all the papers tomorrow which is very very interesting.Could be Villa making enquiries or could be someone making themselves known to be interested.Either way Moyes at Villa is the best possible thing we can hope for right now.I think he would be mad to come here but if he did I'd be delighted.
useless
I can't see us paying the compensation. And ideally I think Fox would prefer Rodgers.

I think he likes him though. Right up Lerner's street, won't ask for much money but will do wonders with a squad through coaching/proper tactics.
Zatman
im sure Moyes had a decent amount of money at Everton and a bit of a myth he didnt. He paid big money at the time for players like Fellaini, Johnson, Biliyaletidenov etc
VillaChris
Some of those did alright...Fellani went for 10m more to Man. United, they got most of their money back on Johnson from Fulham, it was hardly MON spunking up the wall money and he finished 3/4 seasons above us in that time. But plenty of summers Everton had to be frugal, remember them signing Jermaine Beckford on a free as their main forward signing, that looks ridiculous now and yet he still got them top 8.Thing I worry about with Moyes is how much the Man. United experienced has scared him. I've watched Sociedad a few times and they're as dull as a Lambert team to watch, his results have been very mediocre in Spain.I'd prefer Rodgers of the two. Yes he spent big money sometimes but had very few failures and made a lot of money for the club.

dudevillaisnice
Went to Real Sociedad when they were 15th, improved the defence and confidence they finished 12th.Obviously hasn't been a great start to the season for him but a win tomorrow takes them up to 9th. No doubt in my mind he would improve us and we would be mad to turn him down if he wants it.

Zatman
he tightened the defence up but the football is atrocious to watch and nothing going forwardthey were a free scoring team until he turned up. 130 goals the 2 seasons previous and think they have has 32 in 30 games since he took oversick of negative managers

VillaChris
O.k if Rodgers dosen't want it then give Moyes it.Worth noting he took over Everton when they were in a similar state to us...just about surviving in the prem every season.
dudevillaisnice
The football is far from atrocious to watch. You could say the same about the current clown we have in charge. Atleast Moyes has proven over a period of time he isn't a fraud and what he did at Everton (which is more our level as we aren't going for the title) was impressive.
