VillaChris
They bummed us at the KingPro stadium or whatever it's called and have had some decent results lately! Take your blinkers off people. it was still only 1-0. Balance that out with Leicester putting out a weaker team than that day (although they did have a few missing), us being at home and looking a bit more creative with Gil in there and I'd say the omens are good.........for a 0-0.

nazvfc
This is a pwoper nwaughty fixture. Remember our away match vs them? Doubt they'll be allowed their full allocation? Don't think we'll be on TV either being two relegation threatened teams. Probably a Saturday 3pm. Not as confident as everyone else, on form they are a better side than us but we'll still be faves to go through. Nonsense Dead right. We beat them at villa park and I can't see any reason why we can't again. Same old same old. Gonna be s juicy tie this. Gonna be there and confident as always

villan-scott Posted January 26, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted January 26, 2015 Cracking draw, gives us the chance to knock out another premier league club at home, whilst other lower league teams battle it out for the quarters. Then hopefully draw one of them in the quarters and it's Wembley here we come! getting carried away? Probably! The most exciting thing we've had in a long time! And we bummed them at home. We are a s**t side according to some but still beat them. We'll win with a big crowd behind the team we will overcome.
kidlewis
Judging by the previous round the Televised matches each club gets a bit more than the prize money. Means if we do get televised it's more like another £200k on top of the £600-50k ish we would get. so if we get through and it's televised it's 25% of Gil fee paid
Sam3773
Jesus, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Still a way off, and who knows what might happen. That being said...
kidlewis
I think speculating on the tv money being slightly more (and likely to be televised in quarters, and semi), If we get to the final and lose, still means we earned enough money from 4th round onwards to pay for Gil completely. Now I am pretty sure AVFC doesn't work like FIFA in that they speculate revenue based on cup runs and league positions into their forecasts, but even so, it would be a silver lining knowing we probably earned more than we thought we could get to pay for him. absolute steal. The_Lions_Roar
We've got to fill the stadium for this one, Leicester will want as many tickets as they can get. Reduce the prices and fill it!
ismail-villa
Our record in home FA Cup matches is very good as of late. Can see us winning comfortably in front of a packed villa park!!
AVTuco Posted January 26, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted January 26, 2015 (edited) Yay! Very happy with this draw. I think we'll smash them. Or at least win 1-0. Excited. Edited January 26, 2015 by AVTuco

No, they really are not a better side. We have the better players it's just that we have a questionable manager in charge of them.

John
Decent draw tho, could have been easier could have been worse, when was the last time we reached the 5th round with three home draws? The last time we had home draws in Rounds 3, 4 & 5 was 1999/00 when we last made the final.
Kingman
also I presume being a home game we keep the money from food and drinks sold? Not only that we would get £180,000 on top of gate receipts share, equivalent to 7,200 seats at £25 per ticket. Probably means if we do beat Leicester, equivalent revenue to a sell out. as it's a Saturday 3pm kick off should be a decent crowd for that. So getting through looks like a solid £650k for that game with ticket share etc, definitely worth fighting for Third Round Proper winners (32) £67,500 Fourth Round Proper winners (16) £90,000 Fifth Round Proper winners (8) £180,000 Sixth Round Proper winners (4) £360,000 Semi-Final winners (2) £900,000 Semi-Final losers (2) £450,000 Final runners-up (1) £900,000 Final winners (1) £1,800,000 The FA TV fee is £72,000 per club The FA TV highlights fee is £6,750 to each Club Edited January 26, 2015 by Kingman
