dont_do_it_doug.
I'd argue he's not far off. So would I. But Bosnich, for me, was in the top 5 in the world never mind the league. Absolutely brilliant and I loved the theatrics; aside from the Spurs thing obviously (my 12 year old self didn't really get it to be fair). I always felt Friedel was a bit flappy handed. Stevo985 Posted December 27, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted December 27, 2014 Oh completely agree. Bosnich is my favourite villa keeper ever. In fact he's probably my second favourite villa player ever (behind God) But Guzan is troubling the top 5 in the league. In fact I'm struggling to think of 5 better than him
Guest
I need to think about this. I would usually say Guzan but he has been really clumsy lately and I am not sure others would make so many silly mistakes.

DJ_Villain
Michael Oakes for me. Toss up between him and Adam Rachel... Gabor Kiraly was immense too though....
Tomaszk
If Bozzie could kick, he'd have been comfortably one of the best three or four in the world. I preferred Enckleman to Sorenson. Hated Sorenson. Boooo Sorenson.

Can't remember how good he was those days vs. earlier. Anyway, I think this is meant to be about those people can remember. Which is why I haven't taken part.. kevpants
Who do you reckon would in a fight between those four? Friedel looks like he's got a bit of nasty, Guzan's strong, Bossie is mental - Sorensen looks like a cryer. Coked up or non coked up Bozzie? kevpants
And to address the question, it's Bosnich. Every day of the week it's Bosnich. Most agile shot stopper the prem has ever seen, caught crosses for fun. He was marked as Schmeichels replacement for a reason.

If he wasn't playing for arsenal he wouldn't even be part of the conversation. Begovic is an interesting one. I've always felt he's overrated by a lot of people. He's not bat at all, but I don't think he's as good as people make out. He and Guzan are a similar level for sure.

What about Jimmy Coombs? lol Boy , could Jimmy throw a ball , probably due to his cricketing prowess , which tbh , he was better at . Then we had dear old Budgie , who even got married in football boots , apparently the players would throw oranges at him in the changing room , and he would be diving all over the place to save them . What a legend .
