mjmooney Posted March 21, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted March 21, 2013 (edited) The entire Aqualung of Jethro Tull. I don't know why as I've never been a Tull fan, but this Spotify does strange things to me! That's what's good about Spotify, Last FM, YouTube, this thread, and the internet generally. It breaks down our prejudices about what we should listen to. I've certainly discovered stuff I wouldn't have considered (or known about). Not rap, though, that's still shit. turnbull
I hope the edit was because you added the last bit. MJ!! Spotify is the shizz, as we youngsters say.
mjmooney Posted March 21, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted March 21, 2013 The edit was for a typo. The last bit was a 'given'.

Chindie Posted March 23, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted March 23, 2013 Beck Goldsmith - I Vow to Thee, My Country Anyone that's seen the ad (below) the Beeb has for their big Easter Drama, The Village, will have heard a few snippets. Nothing particularly special, but nice. I've always had a soft spot for that particular tune, Thaxted. http://youtu.be/HZVioINe2kA
mjmooney Posted March 23, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted March 23, 2013 Holst was pissed off that his tune got turned into a nationalistic anthem without his permission. That is a nice version, though.
Chindie Posted March 23, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted March 23, 2013 Eh, I'm reminded of Alan Moore being pissed off his work was adapted for cinema - fair enough but nobody really cares. I Vow to Thee, My Country is about the only patriotic song I genuinely like, I think. Its not actually a critique, ala Jerusalem, for instance. Unsurprisingly, I also like World in Union
tonyh29
Didn't think I'd like the new stuff , but even on a first play it's quite catchy ... can imagine it playing on Radio 2 without too much trouble :-) http://soundcloud.com/megaforcerecords/04-hurt-
