leviramsey Posted February 6, 2008 VT Supporter Share Posted February 6, 2008 Also listened to Metallicas "Load" today, for the first time (believe it or not). I thought it was great You, sir, are a man of impeccable taste. Easily one of the ten best hard rock albums of the '90s. The sell-out accusations are overblown: at worst it's well done alternative metal (think Faith No More, Soundgarden, or Alice in Chains) firmly rooted in the Sabbath/Deep Purple traditions. Bleeding Me and The Outlaw Torn are among the best couple of dozen tracks Metallica have done. That said, I generally prefer ReLoad, which is a simultaneously a bit more adventurous and more consistent.

Pelle
I agree that Load is a very underrated album. The funny thing is that I haven't listened to it in a long time untill last friday when my friend drove me home after work and had that on the cd. We agreed that it was very underrated. And now there are a couple of posts on here about how good it is. Think The cure and King nothing are the best. Oh, and Ronnie. Bonfire- Give it a try One of those ballads from the 80's that there were an uncountable amount of. And it went into another one: Bonfire- You make me feel
