guyavfc
Would love Konoplyanka who is apparently holding out for a cut-price move to Everton.
bose
Konoplyanka nearly went to Liverpool last January but his club decided against it in the last minute. I doubt he wants to go to Everton over Roma. Sadly no chance that we are in for him IMO.

lexicon
We can't afford Konoplyanka. Good Ukrainian players are expensive because of the league rules about how many of the XI need to be Ukrainian, which drives up the prices of the good ones - plus the people who own the big clubs are loaded. He has 6 months left so can leave for free in the summer. They only want 2.5m apparently not sure what currency but still cheap!

CarewsEyebrowDesigner
In normal circumstances, yes, but the half the country is at war. If a player and his family want out, the club can't really do much. We won't be signing him in any case.
lexicon
It's not half the country and Dnipropetrovsk isn't an area under threat. I think he just wants a big move - might be possible but not sure we'd satisfy his wage demands.
CannockVillan
Page 200-201 Section V7.5 and V7.6 Can we loan both together - No We would have to make the Cleverley loan permanent or cancel it in order to be able to loan Januzaj You can't have more than one Temporary Transfer player from the same transferor club at any one time (save for the emergency goalkeeper exclusion and save for the point above where a Temp transfer is made permanent). Anyway, now that is sorted, does anyone know if we can loan Januzaj and Cleverley at the same time?

bose
Villa revive talks with Sinclair (The Telegraph) Scott Sinclair in talks with Aston Villa Winger targets move before transfer window closes on Monday as Paul Lambert aims to boost his squad Paul Lambert has revived his bid to sign Manchester City winger Scott Sinclair. Lambert, the Villa manager, is stepping up his pursuit of Sinclair and wants to agree a deal with City before the transfer window closes on Monday night, with the club desperate to avoid being sucked further into a relegation battle. Sinclair has been a priority target for Lambert this month - Villa have been chronically short of goals this season - and talks between the two clubs are understood to have resumed in the past 48 hours. City would prefer to let Sinclair leave permanently and their asking price of around £3.5million has proven problematic for Villa. But Villa are not ruling out the prospect of signing the former Swansea star on loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent deal in the summer. A loan move now appears the most realistic option and negotiations could reach a conclusion before Villa’s game against Arsenal on Sunday. Lambert has already signed Carles Gil from Valencia for £3.25million but wants to add further width to his squad. Sinclair, 25, has only made two Premier League starts for City since a £6.2million move from Swansea in August 2012. His career has basically been dead for over two years. If we get him on loan I think it's a win win for us. Edited January 28, 2015 by bose
