Spun off from the Coutinho thread, to keep it on (i.e. off) topic:

Watching videos of people watching videos

Watching unboxing videos

Watching videos of people playing football games (instead of watching actual football)

In short, the whole YouTube celebrity syndrome.

Even in music - there are countless YT vids of bedroom guitarists, jamming with backing tracks. And some of them are astonishingly good. Which leads me to ask - why aren't they in bands? Is it really better to have thousands of online followers than to play live music with your mates down the pub? I suppose it must be.

Yeah it takes all the fun out of it when people know that you're watching them.

The unboxing videos are OK if what they're unboxing is super limited edition, so limited that most of the time I didn't even know it existed

That usually involves computer game stuff though

I'd probably watch a vinyl record collection one if it existed, I'm buying the £20 version and there's a guy unboxing the £300 version which only has 50 copies, I'd probably watch that

The seasons are distinguished by the amount of daylight (and therefore temperature) not precipitation. More daylight equates to higher average temperatures

The main monsoon season in India is during the summer for instance

You've obviously never lived in the British Isles.

Most of them probably are in bands too. Nowadays, YouTube is probably the biggest platform to get yourself noticed. There's guitarists that have ended up playing in bands for huge stars that got the gig after being discovered on YT.

According to the red tops pretty much every female who is 6/10 or higher is now earning over £200k a year on OnlyFans.

They quit their jobs as doctors or police officers and now raking it in selling pictures of their chuffs.

I don't understand who's paying to see nude selfies on the internet.

Nor me, there's plenty of decent stuff that's free

I can imagine one particular red top are aggrieved that the women are making money like that without having to appear on the third page of their paper.

I can understand why there might be a market for paying to see a celebrity’s tits or minge, but it’s all these regular moms who apparently quit their jobs for riches on OF.
As Rob says, who is paying for that content when there’s a billion times more available for free? I don’t get it.

It must be BS.

At the risk of sounding like someone who is a customer of Only Fans…

I think it’s because it’s (appears to be) far more personal. More exclusive. I imagine it’s closer to the idea that you’re actually interacting with the object of your affection directly, rather than watching her on pornhub with 50 million other would be suitors. “I REALLY know this woman, her personality, what she likes, everything…”

They’ll have different tiers of subscription too, the more expensive ones may offer a personalised message every so often. It’s just that little bit closer to the fantasy.

“Maybe if I send her an extra large tip on her birthday, she’ll realise I’m not like the rest of them and send me a message…”

I obviously don’t know that’s the case for every person (male) being on there. But I’d be willing to bet that’s the reason for a lot of them.

Edit - also, with a celebrity on some level you know you don’t have a chance. With this woman working from her bedroom, there’s slightly more chance. Truth of the matter is you don’t don’t have a chance with her either, but the odds are better with her than a celebrity crush.
