One could argue they would be more valid for the other 11 premier league teams (or 9 if you exclude Saints/Spurs) who have received a smaller amount of transfer funding (incomings - outgoings) than Lambert. Lambert has had about £50m to improve on the squad that Mcleish left and we're in a worse position points wise than at the same point with Mcleish. Is that progress?
