jacketspuds
I don't know if this has been posted but following our third goal, Lambert celebrated and then immediately turned to a Villa fan behind the Norwich dugout who I assume had been giving him grief. Lambert was gesticulating that he wanted a word and shouting at this bloke who then came rushing down the front row to the edge of the Villa dugout and was pounced on by a few fans and security. Lambert took his coat off as if he was going to go toe to toe for a scrap and was going crazy. The "fan" was escorted away by a couple of security fans and I assume thrown out. If you have video'd the game, watch how lambert snaps round and looks at someone behind the dugout after the goal and a moment later you will see him without his coat, despite the fact that it was pissing down. It was probably Delia Smith after one too many pre-match glasses of cooking sherry! Where are you? Where are you? Let's be avin you!!! Well, he didn't headbutt the fan, so he keeps his job.

Popular Post Rob182
Fans getting a lot of grief again I see.Rightfully too, in my opinion. I don't know where in the ground you sit, but in the Upper Holte a loud minority (I hope) were pathetic. Booing and throwing insults just because we didn't equalise straight away, it seemed. We tried to build attacks (much like we did at 1-1, 2-1 & 3-1) but the fans just didn't give he players a chance. If it was a sideways or backwards pass, there was abuse. If it was a hoof to Benteke, there was abuse. At one point, the ball was rolling towards Vlaar and a Norwich player in the middle of the pitch, instead of Vlaar getting the ball and safely passing back to Guzan, Vlaar flew into the challenge so he could take it forwards. Luckily he got it, but he could have easily missed it and allowed the Norwich player through on goal. It seemed like Vlaar only did that because if he'd have passed back to Guzan, the crowd would have been furious. The players shouldn't be made to panic and play too far out of their comfort zone. I understand people aren't happy, but full time should be the time to criticise, not while we're playing a game that could have determined our fight against relegation for f**ks sake.

RimmyJimmer
Why?....even if they're complete idiots? I wish he'd come and belted the bloke behind me in the north stand. Supporting the team means being positive, looking at everything through claret & blue specs, and backing them to the hilt...no matter what. I have never boo'd my own team and never will. I don't blame lambert for having a go

For the manager to react like that the "fan" must have been some kind of uber prick.

It is definitely what happened. I couldn't hear what was said but the actions were as I have said. Lambert wanted a word with the guy, was pointing and shouting in his direction, took his coat off with a clear intent. Fortunately a few fans and security got to the guy first and bundled him away - lambert was absolutely fuming.
VillaChris
Wonder if it's the same guy who ran on to the touchline and briefly celebrated with Lambert after one of the goals v WBA? You do get some moaners right behind the dugout, O'dreary never stopped going on about them and MON had a pop from time to time.

I have to say to an extent felt for Lambert during the first 25 minutes, he was getting the dogs abuse from a couple of complete ***** behind the dug out and it was clearly getting to him. I know it goes with the territory but these guys were pretty abusive and despite everything I think it is unacceptable.

Big_John_10
Twice I've sensed the crowd were ready to properly turn at villa park. 2-0 down to west brom and today. I think Lambert's come very close to losing the home support but he's got the results when its right on the brink.
