PaulC
The sooner Hodgson gets rid of Rooney the better.
villa4europe
My God the Swiss are overrated. Embarrassing performance. Job **** done. or they just lost one of the best managers in europe in the last 20 years... they got it completely wrong, tempo, shape, everything, had a couple of chances but wouldnt have deserved it

darrenm
Delph added some much needed energy to England's play. He gave a very mature performance I thought, rather than getting caught up in the attacks he would fill gaps left by Baines and not let us be stretched. kurtsimonw
Good win. We need to take the lead though as our best asset is clearly being quick on the counter.
VillaChris
The sooner Hodgson gets rid of Rooney the better. He just looks like yesterday's man nowadays, all the pace around him shows how much he himself has lost over the years, pretty sluggish. No doubt he'll score a hattrick v San Marino which will guarentee him as a starter for the next two years.

Rodders
England played very well considering it's a newish side. Some defensive oddities from Stones and Jones, but otherwise pretty encouraging. No reason why England should lose, or conceivably, concede during this qualifying campaign. Avfc96
Delph after a nervy 20 minutes was really impressive and showed Wilshere up big time. Also should have had a pen. As for the rest of the team, IF we keep this formation and add in the likes of Clyne, Shaw and Sturridge then there is some promise there. Big if though.

Yep the fact Wilshere was subbed ahead of a debutant said it all. Sturridge for Rooney. Maybe Walker at rb when fit and Shaw at left back.

villa4europe
problem is sturridge is back for the next game and roy will want to play him, rooney and welbeck, needs to have the balls to drop one of them and keep this formation saw a tweet from the daily mirrors chief football writer saying how amazing wilshere had been and it was him or rooney for MOTM absolutely clueless, wilshere was one of our worst players

Enough for any football 'journalist' to hail him as the best midfielder England have ever had.

Djemba_Villan
Not one mention of Delphs debut after the match. They even found time to discuss wilshire's role. Piss poor.
