GeordieVillan
He's been poor, and the system is making it even worse. Him, Sanchez and Westwood today had no movement in front of them or out wide, so who are they supposed to pass to? One of them should be left out for another striker or Nzogbia/Grealish. KSV
All those people on here who were backing him and saying he's good; Now do you see? Everyone deserves a chance. Some fail at some clubs and succeed at others. Paul Pogba? Deemed not good enough by one of the greatest managers ever. In the end... he had his chance and hes shit here too! DCJonah
Did he deem him not good enough? I thought pogba was highly rated but united were not prepared to match his crazy wage demands before he'd even played for the first team.

jackbauer24
Cleverley is made a little bit of a scapegoat by Villa fans. Week after week he steps out on that pitch to give them more ammunition! Seriously though he's about our level. He's certainly not worth the ridiculous figures banded around and if he goes to Everton I'd not care a jot. He's outperformed by Sanchez, Westwood and Delph consistently. However he's a country mile better than Richardson! If he stays for free then good addition but if any fee is needed I think we could do a lot better. We bought Westwood for £2/3m? That's about his value if he had a few years left on his contract. I'm better than Richardson and I'm 50 next month! Cleverley isn't good enough playing like he is but he does have talent however Lambert's not the manager to bring it out though so best he goes to Everton ASAP. maqroll
Hes just mediocre...at best. Cant wait to see him go, he never wanted to play for Villa anyway.
BigCarew
Is it me, or is it every time he goes to have a shot he looks to sh*t himself? Never puts anything on the shot, more like "hoping" it'll get to the goal! Edited January 11, 2015 by BigCarew
samjp26
Delph with 6 months left - £8.5m bid from Plop. Cleverley 6 months left - £8m valuation. I was excited to give this guy a chance, thought he may relish if, but he's crap. No doubt he'll go to Everton and be fantastic.
Danishlad
The way we were set up yesterday meant we were relying on Cleverley to create/ score. It isn't going to happen. He is a busy/ honest player who keeps things ticking over. A squad player at best.
rodders0223
If he actually had movement around him to spread the play he would have a chance, as it is, we have 3 decent CMs who tick things over and **** all else. The Cleverley scapegoating is getting tedious now.
AshVilla
Why is he not dropped? If the manager had more than 2 braincells to rub together he would see our current system isn't working and would go with 1 less central midfielder and an attacking player instead Especially against the Leicester B side currently 20th in the table

lexicon
He does tackle, in fairness. Averaging slightly higher than Sanchez in that respect, actually.

Delphinho123
I'd rather sack Cleverley than Lambert. This guy is a pretender. And an awful one at that.
lapal_fan
He just doesn't suit any position in our squad, he a waste of a player in our first 11. He'd be ok if you want 2 all rounders in a midfield 5, but in a narrow 433, he's utterly useless.
CrackpotForeigner
I think he's the new James Milner. (Based on the treatment he's getting on VT in his first season. I remember defending Milner then. I won't be doing the same for Cleverley, but it's still possible that he could improve dramatically)
