Popular Post briny_ear
Most definitely wasn't a bust up. A contretemps perhaps, but never a bust up. Overheard by a mate of mine at BH... RK: "I say, Gabby, old chum, you could score a few more goals..." GA: "Point taken, Roy, old bean, but you could coach the midfield to give me a rather better supply and not ask me to defend for 75% of the match." RK: "Touché, Gabby, old pal. Ah well, toodle pip! I must away to spend more time with my family!"
John
At least he parted with some nice remarks about the club and I hope he can now sort things out family wise. Edited November 28, 2014 by John

maqroll
I always thought it strange that after MON's dealings with Lerner that he advised Keane that Villa was a good place to work.

Ikantcpell
Not surpised he has stepped down, he has a big night delivering presents around the globe coming up so he needs to get ready for that. Elves dont manage themselves you know.
sonic_bouma
Couldn't care less. This will have absolutely no bearing at all on our season. We were shit with Roy Keane and we will be shit without him. On the edge of my seat wondering which insignificant number 2 we will appoint next.
Woodytom
Good. His appointment was followed by the team getting even worse.
DCJonah
the club have denied a bust-up. I think after the hotel incident before the Scotland game maybe somebody maybe MON or FAI have advised him to stay away from limelight for a bit which might be a good thing and with Ireland not playing for 4 months he can take a break But then why not announce it mid week or announce it for a future date. To just leave today seems very strange.

The Fun Factory
Ended like everyone thought it would. I didn't think he would last the season but not until November is a poor effort. Never really understood the Keane love in, I always thought he was a bit of a tw*t. Gives it the billy big balls and then just walks. Came, had a beard, was a bit shouty, and left. No impact at all apart from a few soundbites. A bit like his managerial career then. He can concentrate on his number 2 job for Ireland then. They next play on the 29th of March. Time to write another book Roy?
