AVFCforever1991
Looked very good yesterday, glad he is proving me (and others) wrong! Edited August 18, 2014 by AVFCforever1991

StanBalaban
He wasn't exposed yesterday by his lack of pace. He may be against quicker forwards particularly at home when we are pressing a game. Thats my big doubt about him and why I will reserve judgement until he's played a few games. Diouf is a quick striker, however we never allowed them to get behind due to the organisation of the back line. Add in Sanchez and there is a bit of steel being added to it. But it'll be a different test against Newcastle. Newcastle will be a tough test. I watched them against Citeh last night and they have real pace and trickery in Riviere and Cabella. The back 4 will need to be at the races on Saturday.
rodders0223
Was very good, a but wild and nervous on the ball at times but if we can see that kind of performance often this season I will be very happy.
Popular Post StanBalaban
Did well again today. There was one moment where he broke up a Newcastle attack and then played a short pass on to Westwood. Then there was another where he didn't do anything fancy and just cleared the ball away from danger. Been impressed with his decision making so far and good to see him winning the fans over.
Rob182
He had a few dodgy moments Today, but unlike Clark and Baker, he adequately recovered from his dodgy moments, and subsequently put decent passes forward to Villa players. Had Clark or Baker been on the pitch, these blunders would have resulted in opposition chances.
Dirtysanchez
Him and Vlaar have a good understanding which is good to see, our defence is somewhat solid now which is nice for a change.
maqroll
You could see flashes of failure today, despite an overall sound performance. I'd like to think Okore will eventually win the starting job.
David-Copenhagen
So far two clean sheets - how many did we have last year? He looks good enough for me so far!
villalad21
Senderos is a bit clumsy on the ball, Okore should always be first choice, but Senderos is a way better option than Clark and Baker.

I really like Jorres, but Senderos has been very solid with Vlaar. Okore will have to play very very well to get in to the team.
TRO
its not always about the individual, its sometimes more about the formidable partnership they form. the game is all about two's,except the goalie....its these little partnerships that are the most important.
AValon
It won't hurt Jores any to bide his time, plus get the occasional nod from Lambert. He will become a permanent fixture of the back line, theres little doubt about that.
Woodytom
As solid as Senderos and the back four look, I can't help but think this is Villa and having not really played anyone yet, it is only a matter of time until the floodgates open. Basically, we're setting a standard that we just will not keep up.

avfc1982
He's looked good in the last 2 games. I know he's got a reputation for gaffs but compared to Baker and Clark he's Franz Beckenbauer, and I'd have him in the team over that pair buffoons every day of the week.

Basically, we're setting a standard that we just will not keep up. We've played two teams that finished a comfortable distance in front of us last season. That we are setting a standard this early is surely a good thing? I don't think we will make it 38 games without conceding, Senderos will drop a bollock or three along the way, but as a foursome we (and importantly they) know what they are capable of. They have a standard to aspire to. I don't see how that is a negative at all.
