The_Rev
Go on then, end of season awards are coming up rapidly and the PFA player of the year is a shoe in for Suarez this season so how about we predict teams and laugh at the person who got the most wrong. Here's mine. I'll go with the usual 4-4-2 the PFA always pick even though no teams actually play it these days: GK: De Gea (Manchester United) LB: Azpilicueta (Chelsea) CB: Skrtel (Liverpool) CB: Terry (Chelsea) RB: Coleman (Everton) LM: Lallana (Southampton) CM: Toure (Manchester City) CM: Gerrard (Liverpool) RM: Hazard (Chelsea) ST: Sturridge (Liverpool) ST: Suarez (Liverpool) That's who I think will be in, not who I want to be in. I'd be tempted to bring in Marshall (Cardiff) in goals ahead of De Gea, but you know, Manchester United have to have at least one player in the team of the year. Skrtel gets in just because he has scored so many goals and Liverpool are having a great season. I'm fairly confident that the midfield and strikeforce will look like that even though you could argue Hazard and Lallana would both play down the same side.

swaib2004
Can't really disagree with the first apart from I would put Marshall in. Maybe have Baines in front of azpiculeta as well
PaulC
I find it hard to disagree with any of the names. Maybe Marshall or the Palace keeper..and I'd have Shaw at LB and maybe Ramsey for Lallana. We forget how good he was in the first few months of the season.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Thinking about 4-4-2, I can't think of any quality wide players currently playing. Years ago, wingers were key. Remember Rooney's great season being rather down to Valencia having a great one too? Can't think of any genuine wingers currently ripping up the league. Kind of sad, really. Anyway. Mr_Dogg
Shaw will get in the team, can't have a bloody foreigner who's keeping the lovely Ashley Cole out in the team.

Made the odd mistake, but as have most keepers. Skrtel aside I think the Liverpool defense has been pretty bad too. On 2nd look I'd have Baines at left back as well. Stevo985 Posted April 21, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted April 21, 2014 I think Mignolet has been OK. But certainly not the best in the league. In fact he'd be outside my top
kurtsimonw
I just think he's done a brilliant job considering how many shots he's had to face with Liverpool playing so open. He doesn't really make many mistakes either. Each to their own.
Stevo985 Posted April 21, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted April 21, 2014 (edited) He's very ropey coming off his line though. Shot stopping he's fine, but he's far from the complete article, IMO. He presented a goal to benteke, for example, by flapping. De Gea and Marshall are probably the stand out candidates for goalkeeper this season, IMO. dudevillaisnice
I'd have Sterling in there over Lallana. (Personal preference not who I think will be in it) Can he even feature in this? I know he is nominated for PFA Young player of the year. Edited April 21, 2014 by dudevillaisnice
PaulC
He could have cost Liverpool the title with the mistake he made yesterday. The first half of the season I'd of said szczesny but I'd go for either the Cardiff or Palace keepers.

Stevo985 Posted April 21, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted April 21, 2014 (edited) De Gea hasn't been shaky coming off his line for 2 years. When he first arrived he most certainly was. Terrible in fact. These days he's as good as anyone in the league at it. Edited April 21, 2014 by Stevo985

VillaChris
Mignolet is woeful coming for crosses and isn't the best when the ball is passed back to him so De Gea for me given he's superior in those areas imo.
