Mantis
I don't think there's anything to realise in the first place. A sale might happen or it might not - we just don't know.
TrentVilla Posted June 26, 2014 Moderator Share Posted June 26, 2014 I'm far from convinced there ever was one to be honest despite the countless claims by various people. There may well have been interested parties but that is a very long way from a deal or a deal falling through. As I've said since Randy's first statement and his second a lot of people are likely to be disappointed this summer, I fully expect us to start the season under Lerner and suspect we will probably be under his ownership the remainder of the year at least.

I appreciate the fact that he wants to sell, but surely he has to give us some money to spend if it looks unlikely that he can't sell? It's within his best interests to improve the squad to keep it in the Premier League. In your opinion, do you think we will be spending any cash? omariqy
Well BoA are still welcoming bids and sending out sales prospectus' so I doubt anything is close with anyone.
Villaninoz
Well BoA are still welcoming bids and sending out sales prospectus' so I doubt anything is close with anyone. BoA will send out the prospectus and accept bids right up until the day any deal is signed. They wouldn't be much of a business if they did otherwise as they'd look pretty amateurish if a deal fell through and they had stopped long before...

If any party was in advanced negotiations I.e. due dilligence almost done, proof of funds, money being transferred or in escrow etc then BoA would not be inviting further bids, that would be a stipulation of any potential bidder. Similar to when you buy a house and take it off the market. Edited June 26, 2014 by omariqy
DelboyVilla
What I remember from last time with Lerner was us we were a Plc and the club had an obligation to the stock market and shareholders to be kept informed of major developments. Now we are a privately owned entity with one owner only Lerner will know what's happening. Very frustrating for us!

useless
I don't need to see the message I'm just over the moon that there is a message. My gut feeling based on nothing is that there could be something in the Saudi links perhaps not Baltan but someone else.

Popular Post GENTLEMAN
I thought this was quite interesting to share, considering TheTrees has stopped posting since June the 3rd but was last active on the 13th. I was doing some sleuthing in my spare time, I came across this aviation site which logs all the private planes coming to the BHX. (I have too much time ) Scroll down to Tuesday 3rd of June. You can clearly see that three American (N registration) planes made their first visits to Birmingham airport, staying most of the day. There was also two other jets (not from America) on their first visits. However, I am not sure about the non-american aircraft but they could be related I suppose. The other two have the registration of Denmark and the Czech Republic (I believe), so I doubt there is a connection to be honest. I am no expert on aviation but I thought this information was interesting, so I found out that the American aircraft that arrived is owned by Wells Fargo Bank and the Bank of Utah. Then I found out that these two banks offer Corporate Trust Leases. To be exact - "The Bank of Utah and Wells Fargo hold a great many aircraft "in trust" to protect the privacy of the true "owners" of the aircraft or to "secure U.S. registration of aircraft for non-U.S. citizen corporations and individuals" (Wiki) This got me thinking about Al Baltan (a non U.S. citizen) - and what Abdul said about KAB having partners but being the majority owner of the club. I would imagine (and also wildly assume) that it is unusual to have that amount of "first time" visitors all in one day unless it was regarding something huge - possibly Villa related? I hope. Additionally, TheTrees having not posted anything since the 3rd of June suggests it might be regarding a takeover. So maybe Trees does not want to hamper any potential deal by posting delicate information on VT (which is totally understandable), and could be biding his time about sharing information when more is known. Furthermore, I believe Al Baltan's nephew (and Al Shabab director) Tariq Al Nofal was in Birmingham at the same time when those American registered planes came - adding more credence to this theory of it being related to Villa and Khaled Al Baltan. Tariq Al Nofal actually took a picture of Birmingham airport too. Purely coincidental? I thought it was fascinating that Khaled's nephew went to the Emirates and Etihad to study English stadia. Both Arsenal and Man City are sponsored by Arab businesses and are in big cities in the UK. Probably totally unrelated, but we also have no stadium sponsor yet and also a big club in a major city. besides, any new owner will have to increase revenue and investment through commercial deals because of FFP. I am thinking Al Baltan will make the club have closer links to Saudi businesses. I am probably making something out of nothing, but I thought this was intriguing nevertheless given all that has been said and done. I really believe Al Baltan is likely to acquire the club given all the information we have. Then again, it could be nothing more than coincidence and baseless speculation.
