Captain_Townsend
I don't think they want to go down, is it 70 years in the top flight if they stay up? Some record to lose.
oishiiniku_uk
So, Leicester avoided a points deduction purely because they were in the Championship when they were charged with the breach by the PL? Just how poorly worded are the PSR rules? You could drive a truck through that loophole.
PaulC
Good PSR is bollocks anyway. Glad they avoided a points deduction.
HanoiVillan
Think people are somewhat over-interpreting this. Leicester turn out to have made a good decision changing their financial year end in 2023, which led to a situation in which their financial year end came after their PL share had passed to Luton, meaning they were no longer a PL side and hence no longer able to be assessed under PSR. Clever! They will still, however, be assessed in December for 2024/25, and it's probably going to be quite tight, so there's still a chance they get a points deduction this season. To be fair most of clubs have their accounting period ending on 30th June now, so that loophole would apply to most.
