theboyangel
This gif has been the highlight of the thread It's been the gif highlight of my life (with the possible exception of Bowery spinning in the wheelchair). Partly because it's such a mystery; who is that man, whys he so happy, who made the gif? Have no idea who the chap is but he reminds me of the type of person who would be a contestant on Going For Gold!!! (showing my age a little there!) troon_villan
Well that's the end of that. Not a bad window overall, certainly a stronger squad, just could've been stronger still of we'd added a couple more. Thom Yorke. Stevo has a gf. '91 loves gifs and Emilia. Mooney is retired and NurermburgV got married and moved to Canada. Something about Rory McGrath taking throw-ins.

The Fun Factory
After the cleverley collapse, when was the last time Villa paid cash for a proper signing from a rival prem club? Cannot think of one other than loans under Lambert. Hutton or Nzgobia?
a m ole
Not knocking the club boyangel, just saying if I had £8m to spend which is over 70% of overall budget if have made sure I spent it in alloted time and not left it so late with all my eggs in one basket. You don't have to just spend your budget. If there weren't any players that A: would be let go by their club B: were willing to come at appropriate wages and C: would improve the squad then why throw it out because it's there? invest it in keeping our talent, or save it for another opportunity next window. CannockVillan
Hardly disappointing. We did our business early. DD is always a bit of a lottery. At least we stopped ourslelf from being stiffed by cleverly's agent.

StanBalaban
2 defenders signed, Hutton back in the team and playing well, Okore almost back too so no more Baker/Clarke. Three midfielders signed and N'Zogbia back in the fold too. First team massively improved as has the squad. Vlaar stayed, would have loved a right winger too but overall a very good window. Nigel Farage's wages were just too high
