Bradd92
and thats why Sturridge should be playing down the middle
samjp26
I think it is mental that his son has become such a top keeper too, I know players have children who very often go on to be players themselves, but it is quite rare that they reach such heights in the exact same position as their father. I'm sure there are examples, It's looking like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will go on to be better than his dad. Frank Lampard jr is a much better player than his dad ever was but they play in different positions. Yeah I'm sure there are examples of course but I think it is rare, especially for a keeper. villa4europe
the Schmeichel thing is a two way street, he'll always be in his dads shadow and unfairly compared but im in no doubt the name opened and probably still opens some doors for him
The_Rev
That goal has been coming. Nice football though. England have looked much better since the substitutions have happened.

Bradd92
Quite like the team thats out there now. England should of started building a team like this as soon as we were knocked out of WC 2010
The_Steve
Play Lallana and Ox/Sterling as wingers. Sturridge in the middle. I think we'd expect more attacking threat with that than Rooney. Edited March 5, 2014 by The_Steve
PaulC
Lallana has to start for England in the world cup. He's class!

Big_John_10
Drop Rooney. Build the team around Sturridge. 100% this. Have Rooney playing deep behind him or if we need 3 midfield players drop him. Play the best team not trying to fit in the best players.

samjp26
Living legend is about to come on. All hail, Andros Townsend. Did you know: Andros Townsend has scored 1 goal this season. If you multiply that by 50 he would be the England's highest scorer ever! Edited March 5, 2014 by samjp26
Voinjama
Lallana has been impressive for a while now. I think Lampard may struggle to make the world cup squad.

The_Steve
I'd start Shaw and Lallana down the left and use Baines for the bigger games.

Guest av1
Rooney never seems to just have a decent game, he's either very very good or god awful, and today he's been god awful.
