NibblyPig
If Stuart Pearce hadn't got the job at Man City, I think Danny Mills (everyone's favourite player) would have been available in the summer... I think he's actually a great on-field leader... and right back is one of our problem areas... oh well! Next?
PB
I would like us to go out and buy a captain, as we dont have anyone suitable at the club, so voted other
USVillan
I think buying a new captian is needed as well, as i think Ollys tenure has run its course... but as someone else mentioned it think it would be near impossible for someone to be bought and within less than a year be given the armband. the player has to be given about a year buffer to settle in and command the respect needed... new idea: bring back Merson! i don't care how old he is! ozvillafan Posted March 23, 2005 VT Supporter Share Posted March 23, 2005 new idea: bring back Merson! i don't care how old he is! How about Alpay? Merson was quoted as saying he should have the armband when Graham Taylor took over.

Jon
i think we're stuck in the episode where all actions result in terminal mediocrity with no hope of breaking the timewarp loop. It's a living nightmare. Where's spock when you need him? "Elies' continued existence as Chairman is illogical, Captain"

MuleAthon
mccann, but if you want to keep it in the defence, i'd say ridgewell. he's got a good shout on him.

DjM2k4
Could always have a different captain for every game like Baggies did.....erm, on second thoughts that never worked did it For what it's worth, I say stick with Mellberg
allstar
Olof, he is the rock of our defence and he plays every game. Macca is too silent and is too injury-prone
