villarule123 Posted December 14, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted December 14, 2013 (edited) Also, I expect similar quotes from Milner and Young in 10/15 years time, sometimes money isn't everything. Edited December 14, 2013 by villarule123
StanBalaban
As above, but would happily have him as a coach for the forward players. The likes of Weimann, CB, Kozak could learn loads from someone like Yorke.
Xela
One of the best strikers we've had in the last 30 years and no beef with him leaving, after all who wouldn't join Man Utd? However, no thanks as a manager!

Jimzk5
....After all who wouldn't join Utd Alan Shearer....Newcastle meant more to him than glory Alan shearer was a boyhood Newcastle fan though and id imagine him being the clubs all time top scorer would mean more to him than any trophys he would have won at united, yorke on the other hand had no affinity with us beyond being the club that put him on to the world stage, he owed us nothing in reality and he moved on to one of the worlds biggest clubs and won the trebble 9 months later, blame him for moving? Not at all, his behaviour after the transfer is what people are angry at.

PaulC
People forget that Brian Little nearly signed for Blues. It was only a failed medical that stopped the deal going through after they sold Francis to Forest. He still managed Villa. The important thing is whether he has the credditials to manage us and I don't think he has or ever will have. NurembergVillan Posted December 15, 2013 Moderator Share Posted December 15, 2013 ....After all who wouldn't join Utd Alan Shearer....Newcastle meant more to him than glory Hmmm, let's not let view this through today's eyes. Newcastle were the Man City of that era so it wasn't like he was signing for Wigan, or us.
