Designer1 Posted December 17, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted December 17, 2013 Not recent, but definitely one of the dumbest things i've ever said. I phoned a cleaning company as my living room carpet needed a good scrub to get rid of some wine stains from a recent party. After an initial chat to the guy on the phone to discuss price etc I said "yeah, so do you come to the house to clean it?".
8pints
Not me but the cleaner was in today and asked me "What part of Ireland were The Dubliners from?" Obviously not a genius cleaner you find in some people's work places.
GarethRDR
Bleh, just opened a pistachio and threw the shell in my mouth instead of the nut.
Morley_crosses_to_Withe
Once upon a time in one of my previous jobs, I was pissing about chatting over email to different mates. One friend at the time was getting married and she'd sent me a picture of the dress her bridesmaids were wearing. Anyway, as I had the picture of the dress up on the screen, one of the fittest women in my office walked past and said jokingly: "I don't think that suits you"... Not able to think of anything amusing to say back, I replied with: "It's okay, I'm going to a wedding"(!!??). She looked at me with a confused look on her face and walked off. I'd have tried to avoid her from then on in if it wasn't for my desk being right next to a busy thoroughfare on the floor Edited January 9, 2014 by Morley_crosses_to_Withe
