trekka Posted December 11, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted December 11, 2013 (edited) Can't stand hymns. I blame being made to sing them in primary school. Not even Little Donkey? Edited December 12, 2013 by trekka

rjw63
On the theory (held to by the music industry) that any song about winter qualifies as a Christmas song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0BVypgYrxo Awesome (like Brian's beard used to be) but not as awesome as this... http://youtu.be/Ztz364t4h0c
mjmooney Posted December 12, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted December 12, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGA6djLsDgs anybody that could stand outside a small community church, see the golden glow of low lighting and hear the rag tag local singers having a humble, gentle heartfelt go at this and not feel moved to gives thanks to the Lord for having a warm home to go, is a word removed I feel grateful for what I've got, but I give my thanks to an accident of birth, and the UK education and health systems, for it, not any imaginary lord. mjmooney Posted December 12, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted December 12, 2013 Only thing with Greg Lake is, if you took out the Prokofiev sleigh ride bit, it'd be nothing.

I think you can appraciate what you have, appreciate the scenario, the lights, the people, the location, the singing, the sentiments, the togetherness, etc, etc, and not have to thank 'The Lord' for that, as The Moon Man quite rightly states. Stevo985 Posted December 12, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted December 12, 2013 (edited) None. Having worked in a restaurant on 8 hour shifts, with a xmas CD that was approximately 70 minutes long, and was never changed in the 6 years I worked there, I can confidently say that all xmas songs make me want to rip my ears off. Edit: and I'm no scrooge by the way. I love christmas. I just hate the music. Edited December 12, 2013 by Stevo985
