BOF Posted December 4, 2013 Moderator Share Posted December 4, 2013 Former rugby player Daniel Adongo promoted to Indianapolis Colts' full roster Former rugby union player Daniel Adongo has been promoted to the Indianapolis Colts' 53-man active roster. The 24-year-old Kenyan, who stands 6 foot 5 inches tall and weighs in at 117 kilograms, has taken the position of linebacker at the start of his NFL career. Adongo played as a lock or flanker for South African side the Kings during the last Super Rugby season and has previously turned out for the Natal Sharks and Blue Bulls. Despite the fact he had no American football experience, he was signed by the Colts in July and was put on the practice squad while he adapted to the game and recovered from a biceps injury. Although Adongo is now a member of the full roster, only 46 of the 53 players can be activated to play on game day against the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday. maqroll
If I recall correctly, Dallas offered Jonah Lomu a contract back in the day, and he turned them down. I'm assuming they wanted him as a fullback, or maybe a safety?
