Voinjama
You could argue there are 3 group of deaths. The Spain holland group, the Germany Portugal group and the England group.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Gary Lineker @GaryLineker 12s Tough draw, but a couple of nil nils and a win against Costa Rica should see England through. He really doesn't like Roy!
PaulC
http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1639248/spi-world-cup-group-stage-projections?cc=5901 Some odds Those predictions for Groups B and D seem all wrong. seem about right to me I don't see how Chile are more likely to progress than the Netherlands nor are Uruguay more likely to progress than Italy, and I certainly don't think we're more likely to progress than the Italians. Ok because its in Brazil you have to favour the South Americans. Uruguay i fancy to win our group because they have two great strikers plus forlan. We all know how good Suarez is and that he can win games on his own, To me he's the best player in the Premier League.
Mantis
It favours them but not by that much. I'd back Uruguay over England but not over Italy. As for Chile, they're decent but nowhere near the Netherlands.

But Italy i'll probably be wrong but i think they will come third in the group,
maqroll
Well that sucked. USA and England got really, really tough groups. Meanwhile, Brazil and Argentina can play their women's teams and qualify for the second round. So much for parity...

Meanwhile, Brazil and Argentina can play their women's teams and qualify for the second round. So much for parity... Argentina play Nigeria who are African champions and Bosnia who won 8 of their 10 group games. The good thing from Argentinas point of view is that they play the weak teams in group E if they get through. Their group is not easy but their potential 2nd round opponents are. maqroll
Come to think of it, USA thrashed Portugal 3-1 in the WC when they still had their "Golden Era" team with Figo, etc. A win and two draws could see us through...

PaulC
I guess if you look at the England group. The positives are we could have had an even tougher seeded team and Italy is the only game we have to play in the north where its hot and humid I felt bad for that old geezer picking from the wrong bucket, then dropping a ball on the floor, lol was that the Uruguay world cup winner from 1950? maqroll
A win against Ghana, draw against Portugal, and a loss against Germany is what I predict for us. Should be enough to clinch a match against some team that will destroy us
maqroll
Colombia must be salivating at their fixtures. They'll be looking for redemption, and the pressure on them will be much less intense than in '94.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Portugal will probably lose to Germany but I can see them doing very well if they play a counter attacking game in the sort of heat and humidity we're expecting. Sit back, let other teams run about, then one good ball for Ronaldo to run on to and it's pretty much a goal.

It's the northern and interior games that'll be tough on some.
