turnbull
I don't know about outside but I was very windy indeed first thing. Duvet on the floor job. Anyone else notice that Twister and Perfect Storm were both on TV the weekend? Scary.
Guest
Not sure what the damage is out there, very windy from 2-5am though.
chrisp65
I live at the top of a hill with views out over the coast. Got windy and rained at 4:30am. One slate dislodged. Earth still turning.
villaajax
Pretty sunny out actually with a bit of rain. It was awful last night as I had to go out twice to pick my siblings up from places, roads partially flooded, had to drive with both hands on the wheel! The_Rev
The trains into London on virtually every line are fooked. I booked the day off work because it's half term, but I follow a few rail news feeds on Twitter (professional interest only, obviously) and they have posted quite a few pictures like this this morning. This one is at Dorchester, but it seems there are reports of 20-30 trees down over railway lines in most of the home counties which is going to be a problem as there aren't 20-30 gangs of blokes in each county to shift all of them at the same time. It's quite fun to watch all of this unfold while I eat my cornflakes though.
Risso
In a complete about turn on the status quo, it's hardly been windy here at all!

Chindie Posted October 28, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted October 28, 2013 Had the easiest trip into work for months this morning. I am therefore in favour of apparently stormy weather.
LondonLax
Road the bike in to work this morning as usual and the streets of London were deserted. People were not flooding out of the stations like usual. Was quite peaceful
regular_john
In SW London. Nothing but a bit of rain here, nothing too exciting.
Eames
Stupid over-hyping of mildy inconvenient weather by massive fannies in the media. Strap on a pair...... put on a decent coat and crack the **** on.
coda
There are a few more leaves and twigs on the footpaths than usual. I'm not going to risk going outside for a few days.

villaajax
With all these twigs and leaves blowing about those pretencious 4x4 owners will certainly be having the last laugh.

Loved it this morning. I fear no puddles.....and was able to tow the tree out of the road by myself....all sat smugly in my Chelsea tractor. Should be in work now (in London) but my train stopped at Rugby and after about half an hour delay they told us to **** off back to Birmingham.
